I've had a few encounters with this MD as have my colleagues who have had the same encounters. It's very clear he has a big issue with nurses. He is very pleasant and nice to the patients, but when speaking with nursing he is short and snaps about anything you say to him. Very angry towards nursing and ignores what nursing has to say.

I'm 59, and I needed surgery for spinal stenosis. I found Dr. Rachlin extremely arrogant, and when I asked him if I might be a candidate for minimally invasive surgery, I was simply told, "No". That meant a traditional laminectomy with fusion, 5 days in the hospital, and 8 - 12 weeks recover. A second opinion at NEBH revealed I was a candidate for MIS, which I had. I was in the hospital overnight, walked 1.2 miles 1 week later, and 4.5 miles a week after that. I returned to work part time the third week, and full time in the office 25 days after surgery. Dr. Brian Kwon was my surgeon, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Which procedure would you rather have?
