A botched laminectomy resulted in a month-long hospital stay, then two weeks in a nursing home with Physical, Speech, and Occupational Therapies. Worse yet is my constant peeing and pooping in my diaper (depends) like an eight-month-old baby. I wanted to bring a malpractice suit but my wife discouraged it. Now it's too late. Bottom line is stay away from this practice at all costs.

My mother had DBS on 8-14-17. She suffered a massive stroke the following day. She is currently in a coma and we have no clue when she will wake up or what her quality of life will be when and if she wakes up. We do know she is paralyzed on her right side and will probably never walk again. Not once has Dr. Whiting reached out to her kids to explain why this happened. She was told there was very small percent this would happen. My mother is not a percentage point, she was a healthy person who had torticollis.

I have had Dr. Whiting as my neurosurgeon now for almost 16 years. He is by far the best around. He treats you as a person and his staff is great too. I have dystonia and he was able back in 2000 to give me dbs (deep brain stimulation). It ultimately saved my life because i couldnt live any more with the constant contractions. Dr. Whiting has done so many dbs surgeries. Not once do i ever regret going to him for my surgery. He is the best at what he does and to his staff, i have never had any issues with them either. So from the other two comments i don't know where you are coming from but he truly is the best neurosurgeon around and i would highly recommend him to anyone who has chronic back pain, dystonia, parkinsons, and essential tremor. He is always on top of things and know whats going to come out. For instance i have two rechargeable batteries in my chest now, loook how far we have come in those 12 years since the initial surgery. Bravo Dr Whiting keep up the great work. Ed C

I've been in several medical offices druing my life, and I will say, without a doubt, this office staff is the most rude, uncaring, unprofessional group I have every seen in a medical office. The Doctor and his assistant were just the oppsite - it was like going from an ice cold shower into a nice warm bath. What a contrast. I've thought of my experience with that office several times since having to deal with the staff. It's the only medical office I've called that DOES NOT answer their phone, and when you leave a message, they DO NOT return your calls. It took many, many attempts to try to get thru to the office just to schedule an appointment. I wanted to see Dr. Whiting, so I was not going to give up. I've often wondered if the Doctor knows how his staff represents him and his office.

Experience with Dr. Whiting was not as bad as dealing with his staff. His staff is unprofessional and uncaring to the patients.
