Super bon neurologue! S'il n'est pas toujours à l'heure pour les rendez-vous, c'est parce qu'il prend bien le temps avec ses patients. J'ai souvent des questions et il prend le temps d'y répondre et de me rassurer. Il connait sa spécialité de fond en comble, et je suis très contente d'avoir mes suivis avec lui.

J’ai eu à consulter, en neurologie, le Dr Jacques et je l’ai revu à l’occasion d’un suivi, plusieurs mois plus tard. Au cours de notre première rencontre, il a procédé aux examens d’usages, prescrit une série de tests afin d’évaluer ma condition et de déterminer le traitement le mieux adapté à ma situation. Il s’agissait, en quelque sorte, d’un programme diagnostique à plusieurs volets. J’ai entrepris la série de tests indiqués, fait une pause en raison de nombreux déplacements à l’extérieur, ..et aussi d’une crainte personnelle grandissante quant aux résultats anticipés, ou envisagés.

J’ai revu, tout récemment, le Dr Jacques afin de lui faire part de mes hésitations quant à l’intérêt potentiel de la poursuite des examens. Ainsi, lors de cette dernière visite, il s’est montré à l’écoute, il a tenu compte de mes appréhensions, il est resté très ouvert à mon point de vue, a reconnu et compris mon angoisse, dédramatisé la situation et m’a rassuré sur mon état de santé en s’appuyant sur d’autres éléments pertinents concernant ma condition particulière. Ainsi, plus encore que de respecter mon sentiment, il a fait valoir certains éléments pouvant le soutenir. Cela étant, j’en retiens d’abord, une bonne dose de professionnalisme, ..assortie, d’une analyse pertinente, ..et également d’empathie à mon égard, ..le tout dans les mêmes mesures. Je reste persuadé que s’il avait eu un doute sur la question, il m’aurait assurément plutôt signalé d’y réfléchir très sérieusement. Je lui suis donc très reconnaissant de m’avoir accompagné dans le cadre du processus que j’ai entrepris, ..et éclairé dans ma démarche.

Saw this rude, arrogant doctor after a concussion and post concussive syndrome. What a waste of time and tax payer's dollars. Other concussion patients have left very accurate feedback that I completely agree with! Don't waste your time with this guy.

I saw Dr. Jacques after falling over 30 feet and suffering a grade 3 concussion I was referred by my family Doctor. I was suffering with daily headaches and debilitating frequent migraines, blurred vision, speech issues, tinnitus bilaterally, extreme photophobia and panic attacks as well as chronic insomnia and memory issues. My doctor referred me to Dr. Jacques because I had fallen again after the initial accident and she was concerned I may have a brain bleed. She felt he may have been able to get me an MRI sooner than she could. She explained this to me after I questioned her judgement in referring me to him after I had seen him. I thought I was going there to get help when I went which I desperately needed.
To say he was cold in his approach would be the under statement of the year! He didn’t ask about my symptoms, was rushed in his physical assessment, rude and ignored my obvious discomfort. He made me feel like I was a waste of his time. His recommendation was simply that I get back to work even though I explained that I was completely unable to do the tasks required by my job which included looking at computer screens all day, reading, extreme attention to detail ( I was employed to handle secret documents on a daily basis and to deal with journalists and high level officials). I asked him if he could help me understand how I could do that with all of the debilitating symptoms I was enduring daily and his response was. I can’t do anything for you. He made me feel hopeless and frankly suicidal. I expressed how I was feeling and he showed me the door stating, “don’t call me before you do it (commit suicide)”. By the grace of God I had a strong support system and didn’t but I often wonder how many people he’s pushed over the edge with his calus approach and heartlessness. I was a single mom of 3 children unable to work and because of Dr. Jacques my insurance company SunLife denied my claim which left me with no income what so ever. It’s now almost 2 years since my accident, I am still unable to work and have had to sue my insurance company. Also worth noting my family doctor , neuro optimoligist and other neurologist all agree that it is still impossible for me to work.
By far the worst Physcian I have ever seen in my life! If you can go anywhere else, go! I would have brought misconduct charges against him and probably filed a police report because counselling someone to commit suicide is actionable by law in and of itself but I’ve been battling just to survive daily with all of the same symptoms and have no extra energy. My daughter had to type this for me but we are so grateful this forum exists and if it can help even one person from going through what I did I will be happy. NO ONE SHOULD SEE THIS PHYSCIAN! and if you have the misfortune to cross paths with him I hope you find this site and read the other reviews so you’ll know at least you’re not alone. This is the rudest doctor I have ever met. He is pretentious, he has no patience and no empathy. I am so relieved that I dont need to see him anymore.

J’ai apprécié l’accueil du Dr Jacques. Il réfléchit et prend son temps avant de rendre son diagnostique. Il a très bien répondu à mes questions et m’a donné l’heure juste. Mon état c’est amélioré à 95%. Un très grand merci Dr. Jacques.

Pretentious and judgemental. I do not recommend his clinic - he seemed uninterested and did not take the time to explain everything I was going through.
