I was diagnosed with cavernous angioma at the age of 34 after having a stroke. That was ten yrs. ago. He's still my doctor since I have to manage my seizures. I think he is wonderful and I refer everyone to him. Thanks Dr. Galdi for everything!

While Dr. Galdi did not solve my situation (Palatal Myoclonus) he did refer me to NIH to folks who specialize in this particular issue. In addition, Iliked that he took time out of his day to make calls to patients. This saves the extra rid to the office just for a quick conversation.

Dr. Galdi diagnosed my multiple sclerosis in 1994. He is a very knowledgeable, empathetic physician: one 1/2 daily is set aside for patients to talk to him directly with their concerns; if someone doesn't have insurance, he reduces his fee; and any paperwork I needed (revised job description, disability application, etc.) was completed promptly and without extra fees. Dr. Galdi is an excellent doctor, and others would do well to follow his example.

totally unhelpful, seemed distracted throughout the whole discussion, brushed off my questions (after having seizure from nowhere i had a few questions!!!) i was visibly upset, no sympathy whatsover, gave me a VERY expensive presription of what my NEW FANTASTIC DOCTOR calls "COSMOPOILTAN DRUGS" which knocked me out and gave me chest pains, to which Galdi said "oh that will go away" well guess what 3 weeks later it didnt and they got worse and I spent all that time out of breathe. Never ever again!!!!

I went to see Dr. Galdi at the advice of the ER Dr. and my primary care doctor. I was having daily headaches that were incapacitating. I have been unable to work for 6 months at this point. I saw him at the 4 week mark. He continued to TRY to treat my headaches, but then eventually when I didn't respond, he pawned me off on 2 other specialists - an ENT and another neurologist - b/c he "didn't know how else to help me." I found his attitude to be very arrogant. While I felt the exams were thorough and appropriate and the office staff friendly, he made ME feel like a failure b/c the meds he rx'd me did not help. It's very well documentd that 30% of patients with my type of headaches do not respond to conventional medicine! He did suggest alternative therapies, however. I felt his care was better than adequate, but his attitude and bedside manner were poor. Plus, the neurologist he sent me to was absolutely horrible to me. Sorry, Dr. G - you'll have to do better than THAT.

Dr. Galdi has been my neurologist for years, and has been more helpful than I can say in helping me manage my daily migraine headaches. He has prescribed preventative drugs that lowered the frequence of the headaches, and painkillers for when headache does occur. He was also instrumental in helping me seek alternative treatments. Dr. Galdi is always informed about the latest research on headaches, and willing to try experimental treatments so long as he knows they are safe. He makes himself available to patients in emergency situations, and visits in the hospital when it is required. I am grateful to have him as a doctor.

I cannot help bhut wonder if it is at all common for a doctor to see a patient alone, with no nurse or assistant AND to ask that patient to get completely naked for an exam....? I have seen numerous neurologists but never have I been asked to present naked for a neuro exam with no assistant.

I saw Dr. Galdi for a constant, daily headache. He did help by prescribing some medications that gave me some relief. But, he never suggested a brain mri (I had to ask). I would think a constant, daily headache would raise red flags. The radiologists report said the brain mri was normal - so did Dr. Galdi. So, I asked him to prescribe a CINE mri (detects any blockage of spinal fluid flow). He wouldn't allow it. Turns out, I WAS diagnosed 6 months later with a rare condition called "Chiari Malformation I" by the doctors at the Chiari Institute in NY. Granted, Dr. Galdi may be very good with some/most neurological problems - but, he was reluctant to take me seriously. And, he was wrong.
