New patient to practice for PAP. I hate a lot of small talk during that type of exam. The staff was welcoming reassuring and friendly. The Dr cam in introduced himself and performed the needed exam. He asked me several questioned after and then I asked him several. We came up with a plan and I was done. I appreciate he is direct and honest and to the point and didnt want to chat as I sat there "exposed." I had to have a repeat vistit in which he entered the room asked if i understood the reason for the visit allowed for questions and had me in and out again. He seems very knowledgeable and wasnt short with me or my questions to make sure i understood completely. Even tried to crack a joke.

When I first met Dr. Jyung, he did not introduce himself. I was with him for a total of about 1 minute. Maybe less. He was so quick to leave. Even saying "Congratulations" half way out the door without looking back. He wasn't very comprehensive of my questions. I felt he was very dismissive. He didn't give any sense of comfortability at all. I would hate for my baby to be delivered by this guy.

Dr. Jyung was extremely rude to my wife. She went to see if she was pregnant, and instead of exploring pregnancy further with her, he focused on her weight gain and suggested that she was diabetic and infertile. He does not sound like somebody that should be counseling women when it comes to sensitive and private matters. She came home in tears. Thanks Dr Jyung, way to go guy.

I agree with what I have read about Dr. Jyung. I told my husband after our first appointment that I thought he was too doctorly and not very friendly. I told him I thought I had a UTI and he told me I didn't and to drink more water...I still feel like I have a UTI, but there is nothing I can do about it...all in all, he is not the kind of person whom I would like to discuss delicate pregnancy matters with. I had a miscarriage in my second trimester a few years ago and SouthShore still does not deem me "high risk" because they only think the first trimester is a high risk time... HUH?? So I am treated like a "normal" patient and when I do have questions or concerns I feel as if they are taken lightly. I will see Dr. Lewis from now on hope to never have to deal with Dr. Jyung again.

I went in for an OB appointment. Dr. Jyung had no bedside manner. He never introduced himself, never asked how I was feeling, and I felt like it was an inconvience to ask questions. Not what I'm looking for in the person who might deliver my baby! When I did ask my questions, his answers were absolute and unrealistic. I will not go back to him and am considering switching practices all together so there is no chance he is on call when my baby girl arrives.
