I have nothing but incredible feedback to share of this doctor who delivered my two baby girls, now 14 and 16 years ago. I still maintain my annual appointments with Dr.Khalife and have had nothing but clear, concise, respectful, and supportive interactions. I understand the commentary regarding ‘outdated waiting room’ space, but it’s not on the top of my priority list, versus having the proper care. When I think back to my actual delivery scene, and how the nurses had me walking the hallways for over two hours until a room became available, and then left me there without a checkin, sheets or a pillow, clueless on what to do (it was my first experience).. the doctor arrived as a Godsend and immediately got me settled and stayed with us until my epidural was administered. During our monthly visits, he was reassuring and comical, exchanging jokes with my husband, even lending a hand to help me up and down from the examination bed.

If there is anything I’ve learned in life, it’s to have perspective and be less self absorbed. Sometimes we need to consider that while getting proper care is important, we are also not the only ones expecting it at that very moment. The staff and doctors are also juggling many balls, some medically urgent, that can sway a demeanour or mood slightly. Show patience, compassion, and understanding.

I travel an hour and a half to visit this doctor, and will continue to for as long as I can.

Some of these comments are comical. Yes the office is old, Yes Dr. Khalife is sometimes straight to the point and doesn't chat much( he's a doctor not a tour guide) but when we were faced with a miscarriage, he took all the time we needed to guide us through. We needed an emergency C section during our fourth pregnancy and luckily Dr. Cohen was on call that night. I'll never forget the way she explained everything in detail and comforted us in the short time we had. The very next day Dr. Khalife called us to see how we were doing. There's no doubt he's old school but with that comes the experience needed to save you and/or your baby's life in a critical situation. If you're easily offended and would rather a nice lounge at the expense of medical expertise, go elsewhere. If you want a place with secretaries that have a good sense of humor and world class medical advice this is the place for you. We're not planning anymore children but I might just tag along with my wife to her next check up just to see them again. Thank you all very much for everything you have done for us. Your names will be in the stories we tell our children and great grand children. You saved my wife and child's life and we'll be forever indebted to you! L & S

OB at hospital for delivery. I received terrible treatment during the birth of my baby. He degraded and bullied me and seemingly wanted to use every intervention possible. At one point when I didn't want to do what he suggested, he became angry and said that they could "use the ventouse or forceps if I wasn't going to try to push" and left the room (this is after I had been pushing for an hour). He also spoke about me in French to the nurse but did not acknowledge me/take time to explain anything. I would not go back to Royal Vic to give birth after this horrible experience.

On-shift when I delivered. Kept pushing for interventions even though labor was progressing well and was already pushing. When I declined interventions he just left the room and left the violent (excessive fundal pressure, strong uterine massage in absence of bleeding) resident to deliver. Then showed up after delivery to sign papers and give elbow bump. Avoid if you can.

Médecin vraiment super compétent mais son équipe est vraiment vraiment bête, désagréable et expéditive. C’est déplorable. Dès qu’on appelle pour un suivi la dame est bête et les suivis sont fait papier... ce qui est super mal fait si notre médecin de famille veut avoir accès au dossier et même si on va dans un centre d’urgence personne n’a accès à notre dossier.
Dommage que l’organisation désuète vienne miner les compétences du médecin spécialiste.
Les bureaux sont sales et datent de 1960. La salle d’attente est petite petite et même en temps de pandémie on se retrouve collées les unes sur les autres.
La salle d’echo est petite et froide.

Quand on attend pour l’écho ils nous placent dans un placard avec des papiers et vieille armoire.

Bref, si c’était à refaire je n’y retournerais pas. J’irais directement au Royal Vic pour un médecin qui a un bureau dans un endroit plus adapté.

Que de bons commentaires concernant ce médecin! Nous sommes de Trois-Rivières et, comme il y a avait une anomalie lors de l'écho, on nous a référé M. Khalifé. Il nous a passé une amnio, et malgré l'émotion et le diagnostic qui n'etait pas très gai, il a pris le temps de s'assoir avec nous et de nous rassurer en nous disant que nous aurions une belle grande famille un jour. Le bébé n'était pas viable...Nous avons maintenant 4 beaux enfants en santé, notre rencontre avec cet homme date de 15 ans et mon conjoint et moi nous nous en rappelons encore... merci encore à vous!
