Dr. Benjamin is extremely knowledgeable and she is a wonderful Doctor. Yes she can be late sometimes , but it is because she is delivering a baby and I am glad she does that. Because she was there at some of the toughest moments of my life when I needed her. She was there for the delivery of my 2 healthy babies (31 and 23) years ago (thanks to her). I had difficult pregnancies and high risks pregnancies. Before these 2 healthy babies, I lost a baby while 7 months pregnant. Those were difficult times but Dr. Benjamin was there for me and help me through it. We discuss the medical options and she let make the best decision for the baby without pressuring me. I cannot thank her enough for her support and her kindness.

Knowledgeable doctor. But extremely late even for am appointments (im talking hours late) and always seems annoyed when asked questions. She is a high risk pregnancy doctor, she should understand how stressed patients can be but instead, she is very directive and gives little explanation. Also, I did not find her reassuring whatsoever, quite the opposite.

Dr. Benjamin was my doctor during my twin pregnancy. She definitely gets results. I made it all the way to 38 weeks with my dichorionic/diamniotic twins, probably due to her uncommonly cautious approach to high risk pregnancies. She told me at our first visit that none of her twin pregnancies deliver before 35 weeks. I don't know if that is true, but I can confirm that with my own experience. She had me on light bedrest starting 20 weeks and I was monitored very closely with strict orders about not doing any physical activity aside from standing 10-15 minutes at a time to have a shower or warm up food. No doubt she uses more of a "scare you" tactic as she probably wants her high risk patients to comply with her recommendations. Sometimes that causes stress. And she has no problem making you feel a little stupid for asking questions. However, her results are worth it. Never dreamed I'd carry my twins to full term. She also advised me on a C-Section due to it being my first pregnancy and I am almost 38, while other doctors at the ultrasound room said they were surprised I was not trying a regular delivery given my first twin was head down. In hindsight, I am glad I took Dr. Benjamin's advice as in the operating room my uterus didn't contract well after the babies were taken out. One piece of advice she gave me that I often thought of during my pregnancy was that the greatest gift I could give my babies was a full term birth. Glad I listened to her advice, albeit it was often strict and unforgiving, as my babies were born a healthy 7lbs each with a 9 Apgar score. I assume she must be retiring soon, but if you have a chance to be her patient it's definitely worth it. She has so much experience and is very outcome focused.

Obviously, she's a very knowledgeable doctor, however, she's a very terrible human. When I asked her why she wanted to examine my cervix (something she only does when my husband isn't around) she got very aggressive, which triggered me, especially since I'm a survivor. She speaks in stats, and if you ask her to explain what it means, she just repeats the numbers and makes fun of you for not understanding - God complex much? I do feel I was sexually abused during my first visit as she pressured me into a vaginal exam.

Many patients, staff and family members always gave raving reviews about Dr. Benjamin. Based on the good remarks, I wished to be under her care when I found out about my pregnancy, especially since we had some complicated medical history.
It is disappointing to say, that Dr. Benjamin does not appear to be the same glorified person she once appeared to be. The Dr. B before retiring from Ob and now seem to be significantly different. Aside from her A+ knowledge and experience, I have nothing good to say about my experience with her. Her bedside manners are horrible, very severe/rough in how she speaks to you. When you ask a question, she makes you feel insecure for even asking in the first place. I was going through a lot of anxiety at one visit and opened up to her in tears. She was unbothered and was irritated, made no efforts to comfort or make me feel heard, rather it was very clear from her body language and mannerism that she 's just waiting for me to collect myself together and leave so she can call the next patient. Her approach is very "do as I say" and ask no questions. Not once in all my appointments have I seen her smile, be welcoming or be in good spirits, always cold with no empathy. Deeply disappointed and discouraged to have experienced this side of her. Truly regret having wanted to be under her care.
