Dr. Simon has been my doctor for several years. I do like her, but some issues. A few years ago I addressed a concern with her because I was not getting my period and was for sure not pregnant. I asked her if it can be early menopause. (that does run in my family) She was sympathetic and requested a thyroid test along with test for hormone levels. Both results came back with no issue. When I saw her the last time I brought it up again and she just did not go into it. She changed the subject. So I never got an actual opinion from her. I am currently looking for a new Gynocologist and have talked with my family doctor about this issue. THE WORST 2 ISSUES are. 1 - The wait time to see her. Sit there is the waiting room for sometimes 2hrs before getting called in. Sitting there I see other women show up long after me and their doc calls them in within 10 - 15mim and they leave before I have seen mine. So why are the other OBGYN docs at Brunswick Medical Center able to get to their patients in a timely way but not Dr. Simon? 2ND Is her receptionist. The rudest, most miserable woman ever!!!!! I was at the pharmacy to get the blood work Dr. Simon requested and the nurse could not read what the paper said. So I called and asked the receptionist if she can check my file. She said she is busy and get to it when she can. I told her again that I at my appointment so it cannot wait. She told me to fax the paper to her and hung up!!!! So many bad reviews about Dr. Simons receptionist and she keeps her. Why????

The receptionist for Dr Simon is the worst i have ever seen. She has no kindness about her whatsoever, she is rude, condescending, unhelpful, miserable and terrible and her job. I dont know her name but there is one that is atrocious and one that is excellent, you will know who is who after one sentence from them. How she’s been there so long is beyond me

Very nice staff. was called a little late, but over all a good appointment appointment. Dr. Simon is fantastic. Only issue I have is bringing my lab work down stairs and paying for it. When did that start?

If I could give a negative rating I would. The rudest secretary I have ever spoken to. Does not understand what CUSTOMER SERVICE is. Argues on the phone with attitude and basically tells me that I'm lying when I was saying the truth.

I was in labour for 16 hours with my first daughter. My contractions started at 3pm. By 8pm they were very painful, and anywhere between 4-9 minutes apart. I was told to stay home until they were consistently 5 minutes apart or less, or if my water broke. At midnight, I told my husband we needed to go to the hospital, at the very least to get an epidural, as I was having intense contractions between 2 and 6 minutes apart. After finding out I was only at 1.5 cm, I was told to go walk the parking lot at Lakeshore Hospital to help me dilate. At 1:30am, my water broke. They gave me a bed. Dr. Simon never came to check on me, even after many attempts by my husband and the nurse who was caring for me to get her to come assess the situation. After 15 hours of excruciating pain, my husband tracked her down in the hallway. He asked her to come assess where I was at in terms of dilation. She told him she had a scheduled C-Section to attend to and was in no mood to deal with a "woman who needed to be caudled". She reluctantly came to check my progression, told me if I didn't have my baby right then and there, she was going to go do her scheduled C-Section, and I would have to figure it out on my own. My husband had to beg her to help in any way to get the baby out. I had been at 9cm for several hours and blood pressure was rising. She told me to push with all the strength I had, then yelled at me because I was tearing. I tore so bad with my last push that my baby flew out, airborne, and she barely caught her before she hit the floor! Then she did a complete hack job sewing me up. So now I have incontinence. My doctor for my second delivery was amazing! She told me she had never seen such a hack job on a pelvic floor repair in her life. She did everything she could to improve it, but I still have issues. Dr. Simon was rude, lacked empathy, was arrogant, and made my first labour experience one that has left me with nightmarish memories. And I only had the pleasure of her presence for a whole 20 minutes. Retire. Please.
