I had a high risk pregnancy. She and her staff took excellent care of me and the staff was polite, accommodating and very informative. Dr Novotny took the time to answer all of my questions and provided excellent care.

Please be very weary of Dr. Novotny, I am horrified she is still practicing medicine. She will over-test you without full disclosure what its for, the bills will be astronomical. What was supposed to be a "routine 16 week blood test" was a $300 drug test panel, what was supposed to be a "20 week routine blood test" was a $1,000 Cystic fibrosis test. A "normal" pregnancy you should have 3 sonograms your entire 40 weeks. I had 5 sonograms before I was 25 weeks. I found out more information about pregnancy from the ultrasound technician than my doctor. When you see her she will be behind her computer the whole time talking about herself. She REFUSED to give me a prescription for a breast pump saying I didn't need one. No eye contact, no bedside manner, no guiding you through pregnancy. I gained 10 lbs in one week, all water weight, had high blood pressure, swelling and puffy everywhere-early signs of preeclampsia were there-she did not catch it, or pay attention to it. I was rushed to the hospital 2 weeks later with severe preeclampsia and had my son 8 weeks early. Her lack of medical care and compassion made my pregnancy unbelievably stressful. Every time I called their office with a concern, it was not taken seriously. Her office provided no information for a first time mom and I made the mistake of trusting her with my OBGYN care. There are valid reasons why she can not deliver at Eastern Niagara Hospital. Do your research carefully before letting her deliver your baby

A friend recommended Dr. Novotny for a second opinion before I went through a surgical procedure. I called mid-January for an appt and was disappointed to find out they would not take me until Mid-May! Can't believe there were NO available appointments for 5 months!!

My original GYN retired and I started seeing Dr. Novotny. I found her to be very friendly and caring. She reviewed my history and answered all my questions. I feel I'm in good hands. Office staff was most courteous. Highly recommend.

I just love Dr. Novotny and her staff. She made me feel comfortable and followed me through all 3 pregnancies and deliveries. My first born was induced, my water broken and I still didn't go into labor. Dr. Novotny didn't make me suffer like some of my friends Dr. have, she gave me the choice to go for a section right away. The 2nd was scheduled because she didn't think my pelvis is big enough. The 3rd I went into labor but the baby never dropped into the birth canal and I was freaked out and Dr. Novotny was very calm and got the section done in time and even tied my tubes last minute when I made the call while on the table! My scar is barely noticable. I'm actually sad that I don't get to see everyone at the office all the time, they truly are wonderful!! (East Amherst Location)

This Dr. Is a joke. She delivered my children then performed tubal after 3rd child. She cut something other than tubal tissue then never advised me that tubal was incomplete. Still waiting for that call 10+ years later. Had another Dr. Correct her mistake. So completely unprofessional in my opinion. Would never recommend this woman. Actually tell everyone I can to stay away.....Far away!!!!!!!

Novotny is wonderful and laid back as a doctor. When I had my babies she was so easy going that it made me at ease while in labor. The staff is wonderful. I switched awhile ago to a midwife so that I could have my babies at home, but I would still recommend Novotny to any woman looking for a hospital birth. Office is clean. They are very professional. They even can do your sonograms in the office. Novotny will make you feel like your her only patient.

I did not like the Lockport office/staff. Much friendlier and more helpful at the East Amherst office. Dr. Novotny is very easy to talk to and is never rushed in taking care of you. Nurse Practitioner in Lockport was very cold and abrupt.

This Doctor is a skilled surgeon. She works well under pressure, and remains calm even in challenging situations. The nurses who work with her often choose her as their doctor because she is so good. She has my records in electronic format, and updates my file on a laptop computer during my visit. My prescription is sent to the pharmacy before I even leave the office. I feel very safe and comfortable in the care of this doctor.
