The receptionist was wonderful and very supportive. She insisted right from the very beginning that I needed to be punctual. The doctor was very cool towards me on the initial visits but warmed up. My experience was that he knew everything and that he knew immediately what was my problem regarding my lack of sleep. He would not listen when I told him that I was not depressed but he insisted on prescribing me a medication for depression which made my situation worse. When I went to see him again he prescribed another medication. This made the situation even worse. When I took this medication to my pharmacist, she took it away from me immediately and told me that it was the wrong medication for me and this was a very bad drug. She advised me to wean myself off the depression medication slowly and we worked out a plan. Unfortunately, I went away for a week and I left this drug at home. the whole week I was unable to sleep as my body could not relax. Upon my return home I did not resume taking this drug and I started experiencing the withdrawal symptoms of "pins and needles". This experience has persisted for over 5 weeks now. I am fortunate that I have others in the healing profession
that are helping me cope. I would insist on checking with a pharmacist any medications that he prescribed and have a clear understanding of the pros and cons as well as the health consequences of this drug.

Best doctor I have ever had. Punctual, listens carefully and with compassion. Gives me all the options for treatments and answers any questions about them. Excellent at referring to specialists when required. He has solved medical issues for me that have plagued me for years when no other doctor had a clue. I feel so blessed to be his patient.

Dr. Leong is hands down the best doctor I have ever had. Not only is he good to me, my kids do not fear their visits at all. He CARES about us and our well-being and even if I am there for a problem with my kids he ALWAYS ask "and how are YOU?". I would recommend Dr. Leong to anyone in need of a Doctor. Dr. Leong is what every doctor should be like.

Dr. Leong has become my Family Dr. after setting up his office in Victoria, BC. I have a complicated medical history and he was willing to take me on as a new patient. He is caring, kind and knowledgable, he appreciates my own expertise on my health, and has been very pro-active in getting me in to see the various specialists I need for treatment. I see him monthly for Diabetes care and he's always willing to discuss other issues during those visits.

His receptionist Amber is wonderful and friendly and the whole clinic has a good vibe to it. Highly recommended, although he is no longer taking on new patients.

My experience was vastly different than that of the other posters. After 30 seconds, he was the "expert" and didn't want to listen to anything I had to say. I took his suggested medication even though it didn't feel right to me so I could keep him as a follow up doctor. That was a mistake.

Very knowledgable. Direct, but good bedside manner. Sat and listened to everything I said going through each and every ailment and had direct solutions for each problem. Would recommend to anyone.

All the good things that were mentioned in the other reviews are absolutely true. Dr. Leong is humble, kind hearted, knowledgeable and takes time with each person to find out what their needs really are. One of the best doctors I have every met.

Very concerned doctor. Friendly and wonderful with children, will not bring my kids anywhere else. He sets your mind at ease. He checks into anything he suspects, does not wait for things to get bad first. Will usually always call himself to check and see how things are going after a visit.
