A member of my family went for a severe foot pain at #400-2609 Westview Drive,North Vancouver at Dr Ken Satake's clinic which turned blue later on due to misdiagnosis. He asked us "did you have the foot pain since last year?" He did not check the medical history plus we have been with him for about 10 years. If I had the pain since last year I would not be alive. When we ask him a question,he seems clueless and lacks confidence and lacks medical knowledge. He misdiagnosed the foot pain and we went for a scan ourselves and found it was caused by cancer.We made 6 visits at dr satake's clinic in 2021. In one of the 6 visits dr satake said you can go home.No referral to a specialist/hospital for further examinations.He refused to refer us to specialists.
When we asked him "what is wrong?",he answers "hmm...I don't know..." plus when we asked him, ”do you ever use your stethoscope!? He then reacts and checks our heart & lungs. This is a very DANGEROUS way to practice.We found out it was caused by cancer and later passed away.She suffered with severe pain at home & the hospital and we are still suffering with nightmares & distraught ever since.. We have received no apologies,no condolences.,no regret,no remorse & no empathy at all in person.

約1年半前（2021年）、私たちの大切な家族も（がん）を患い、専門家や病院への詳しい検査の紹介を拒否したり怠ったりしたために亡くなりました。 私たちは彼のクリニックを繰り返し不必要に訪問し、合計6回行きました。 紹介もまったくなく、役に立つ助けもまったくありません。 すべての苦情を読んだところ、2007 年以来、非紹介、再任、深刻な能力問題というパターンが繰り返されているようです...非常にショックです... 私たちはこの医師に約10年間診てもらっていますが、血圧や脈拍などを一度も検査してもらったことはありません。 「聴診器を使うことはありますか？」と聞いたときだけ。 その後、彼は反応して私たちの心臓と肺をチェックします。 これはあまり安全な練習方法ではありません。 あるとき、私たちが「痛みの原因は何ですか？」と尋ねたとき、彼は「うーん...わかりません...」と答え、私たちは彼に対するすべての信頼を失いました。 私は最初の診察の時から、このよそよそしい医師に何かとても「違和感がある」といつも感じていました。 私たちは彼に会ったことを後悔しています、それは私の人生最大の後悔です。 それは全くの悪夢であり、私たちは毎日取り乱して痛みに苦しんでいます... 安らかにお休みください。 もうすぐ天国でお会いしましょう... 佐竹健医師はBC州内科医・外科医大学による誤診の責任があることが判明(2023年)。 非常に親愛なる家族が、非常に大きな痛みに苦しみ、1年以上前に癌で亡くなりました。 安らかに眠る。 私たちは今もトラウマと心の痛みで毎日静かに苦しんでいます。 私たちは佐竹健博士から直接、謝罪も哀悼の意も返事も一切受け取っていません。反省の気持ちも、共感も、遺憾の意も全く受けていません。 佐竹健医師側には何の結果も責任感もありませんでした。彼は医学コースの受講を強制されただけで、現在も診療を続けています。 私たちには今、より資格があり、誠実で信頼できるかかりつけ医がいます。 この一般医は絶対に避けてください。さらに、私は彼を医師としてまったくお勧めしません。 問題、誤診、過失などを次の宛先に報告できます。 BC州の医師と外科医の大学。 MSP Billing Integrity Program および/または法的措置を講じます。

dr ken satake found responsible for misdiagnosis by the college of physicians and surgeons of bc. A very dear family member suffered in very great pain and passed away from cancer over a year ago. Rest In Peace. We are still suffering in silence everyday with trauma,pain & heartache. We have received no apologies,no condolences & no replies directly from dr ken satake at all. Disgraceful. There were no consequences & no sense of accountability on the part of dr ken satake ,He was only forced to take a medical course & is still practicing. You can still report issues/misdiagnosis,etc to the : the college of physicians and surgeons of bc. and MSP Billing Integrity Program. There is no time limit.

If you need nothing from your family doctor, Dr. Satake is a good doctor who is polite and listens. However, it's the entend of it. He does not provide useful information nor solution.
Well, the most horrible incident was him indirectly caused my miscarriage! He did not provide sufficient support even when I repeatedly making appointments to go in to his office with my concerns. Dr. Satake kees telling me I have plenty of time to consider midwife or OB doctor. However, everytime I call an centre to consult. They rushed me back to book an appointment with Dr. Satake for an test or bloodwork I already should have done as I am an high risk pregnancy due to my age. Then, I was spotting for couple of weeks and continuing. He still convinced me that it would be a good idea to go on a family trip flying from Vancouver to San Francisco to enjoy family gathering and relax. I lost my baby on the flight!!!! I was rushed to the closest ER as soon as the airplane landed in YVR! I have not be able to go back to see him eversince!

He’s been our family doctor for almost 30 years. So much appreciation for his care and willingness to listen. He’s super friendly, very much a people person.

Dr. Satake is great doctor. He is very reliable, courteous, and cares his patients very much.

I would like to correct my comment I uploaded on March 30, 2021 ( below this comment).
I was upset at him on this date, but later this date, Dr. Satake referred me to more tests and sent me to a specialist.
I shouldn’t have put my comment impulsively ( My big apology) .

After I explained my condition again to him, He DID referred me correct tests/ treatments/ specialist.

If you seem him in a long-run, Dr. Satake is a great doctor. Very reliable.

Tbh, It took me years to come forward and rate this doctor. Me and my sister wanted to sue him but decided to let go for my mother.
6 years ago, my mother went to him with a lump on her chest for him to examine it, he said it was nothing and she has absolutely nothing to worry about. A year later, she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. If he had forwarded her to get a breast mammogram earlier, this issue would have been easily resolved.

My mother has passed away.

I wish he will learn to send woman to get mammogram

Dr. Satake is an excellent doctor. He truly listens and is very knowledgeable. I also really appreciate the front staff. Farideh is an excellent receptionist as are all the other girls. Very grateful to be a patient in his practice.
