I have to say that Dr. Waldstein has been an amazing doctor for our now 9 year old daughter. He was there when she was delivered and has showed uncommon care and concern. We are not rich or famous, and yet he would call and check on her at home when she was sick to see if she was feeling better. He was the only doctor we were ever able to reach on the phone in person to discuss our concerns. Amazing these days, considering we tried other supposedly highly rated doctors and were often only able to reach answering services, only to be pawned off to a parade of assistant doctors that were completely unfamiliar with our child and vice versa. We returned to Dr. Peter, even though it is somewhat more expensive for us to go to him due to our insurance plan, because we felt that the level of care at his office was worth it. For certain illnesses, a specialist may be required, but that's what specialists are for after all. As a primary pediatrician is great!

Waldstein was probably once a GREAT doctor. He is very knowledgeable and competent & has tons of experience. However; at his age, at this stage... he does not show the enthusiasm or joy in practicing that parents (at least we) want in a doctor. He is quick to get in and out. His advice is scripted and while coming from an expert voice, it lacks any individuality or uniqueness for your child. We sought out a more personable doctor for our son. I have heard though, if you are of celebrity status, he is more hands on.

Dr. Waldstein is an excellent physician and I am very happy and satisfied with the treatment he's given my children over the past 15 years. He is always accessible when we have a problem and his staff is also very professional. I highly recommend Dr. Waldstein and have done so many times over to friends looking for a new doctor for their children.

I'm not sure what these parents are talking about - We began with Dr. Peter over 20 years ago with my four children. The is the best is every way, diagnostically, treatment wise, kindness, punctuality, sensitivity, availability. I could tell so many stories from his life saving diagnosis of my oldest son to his understanding and calmness of my youngesst child's NICU experience. He's the best pediatrician around!

I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH ALL OF THOSE ABOVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE STAFF! DR. WALDSTEIN'S FRONT OFFICE IS GREAT IN PERSON AND ON THE PHONE. ALL EXCEPT ONE. I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME BUT SHE SITS AT THE FIRST DESK YOU SEE WHEN YOU WALK IN. SHE HAS A VERY NASTY ATTITUDE. IT WAS MY FIRST TIME IN THE OFFICE AND I HAD NO CLUE WHERE TO GO, VERY NASTILY SHE SAID TO ME TO SIGN IN AND HAVE A SEAT AND THE OTHER GIRL WOULD BE RIGHT WITH ME. DR. WALDSTEIN IS A GREAT DOCTOR. HE REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF, HE IS ATTENTIVE AND GIVES THE BEST ADVICE. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE BUT I LOVE HIS STRAIGHT TO THE POINT ANSWERS. I DON'T WANT A DOC THAT IS GOING TO DRAG THE ANSWER OUT BECAUSE THEY WANT TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE THEY HAVE TOLD YOU A LOT.

Peter is a very nice man and his wife is just fine. I was disappointed in his inability to diagnose many issues with my children, his lack of knowledge about many common areas and his weak referral network. Pediatrician to the stars but not very strong.

The office staff could NOT be any ruder. Rude on the phone, rude in person. They are an indication of how cold, distant and disinterested Dr. Peter Waldstein is. His wife runs the back office and she is quite rude too. It seems everyone there is unhappy. My child was hospitalized when she was 2, so she is a little shy of the Doc's office. Pediatricians are supposed to be accustomed to dealing with children, Dr. W told me to "calm my kid down" and looked my 3 year old in the face and said "Stop Crying". He was from that point forward not even paying attention. He never even looked at my face, asked no questions. I did all the talking, he did all the charging. He may have been good at one time but he has lost the meaning of being a Doctor and his staff is a disaster.

Dr. Waldstein is by far one of the more knowledgeable doctors. He loves children and is a great diagnostician. He is on the convervative side. Parents who do not like him seem to be alarmists or have their own issues.

Dr. Waldstein is an excellent doctor. My 3 year old was born at 30 weeks and Dr. Waldstein held our hands every step of the way. We have called at all hours with medical questions and always received a quick and helpful...sometimes lifesaving response. My son is so healthy today and we are grateful to Dr. Walstein,Dr. Effron and the entire staff for their care and kindness.I highly recommend Dr. Waldstein.
