Very unprofessional. During my biopsy I had to hold my own tongue while he cut away. The nurse just stood there. It was complete torture. All I kept thinking was if I slip he slips and you lose your tongue....

He is just a wonderful person - a very knowledgeable and professional doctor - lady at the desk is equally as wonderful. Will be a sad day in Cape Breton when he retires.

Dr. Chokshi is very professional and thorough with his patients,. I have been his patient for many years. He has the necessary testing done and follows up with the patient until the problem is resolved. His staff are excellent.

Worst experience ever! He obviously is compassionate ONLY with older people because he obviously HATES young people! My son had a rare throat condition and this doctor was not only rude with me and completely ignored me when I said hello to him, but he was extremely rude and ignorant toward my son......actually accused my son of bringing on this infection himself somehow!? Lacks professionalism all around and caused my son to experience severe anxiety after each encounter and the thought of having to go to a follow up appointment had him beyond anxious....to the point of feeling even more ill. Bedside manner sucks and he seemed to enjoy causing pain by being rough (freeze one nostril and one side of throat then scope the other!?) this doc is the reason forced retirement should exist in some circumstances.

After two trips to outpatients and an emergency appointment with our Family Physician my husband was sent to see Dr. Chokshi. We have nothing to say but good things about him. My husband had a Peritonsillar Abcess and Dr. Chokshi was amazing. He gave him a thorough examination and treatment right away (which involved three days of iv treatments and appointments with Dr. Chokshi). My husband would have been in surgery that evening had he not had something in his stomach that day. We are very thankful that my husband was able to see Dr. Chokshi. He has a wonderful bedside manner, was very friendly, kind, gentle and compassionate and is an all around wonderful man. My husband will soon be seeing him for the removal of his tonsils and adenoids. I am sure under Dr. Chokshi's care he will receive the same treatment.

I do not recommend this doctor. Took my child to see him and was shocked by the state of his exam room. Used a metal tongue depressor that he fished out of a drawer... The tools were jumbled in a drawer and not clean. I was upset when we left the office. I asked other professionals for feedback and did not hear good things. Will not go back.
