Dr. Gold has been assisting me with thyroid related issues and hormonal issues for the last 6 months. She is kind and also straight to the point which I appreciate. She has tested things that no other doctor has in my years of seeking answers and I finally feel like I’m in the right direction with my healing and getting answers to my issues. Her staff is good with keeping in contact and although she is quite busy, I imagine she’s busy for good reason and I always have answers by my next visit regardless of wait time (about a month which isn’t even that bad. My family doc is the same.)

I have seen Dr. Gold for a number of years and I am very grateful for her trauma-informed practice. She is educated, compassionate, and continuously expanding her methods and adapting them to me as a patient. She has had a profound impact on my life.

Not a fan. It doesn't take much to satisfy me so I have to say I really didn't have a great experience. Was a client in her counseling practice and she kept looking at her watch or out the window. Tried to explain to her an issue which occurred but due to the issue, folks who have gone through it, generally aren't forceful in advocating for themselves. She was extremely dismissive.

Months later, it came up again as I was answering various questions and she said I'm sorry you went through that. I said "I already told you about it but you cast it off."

So, as I said, when it comes to counseling? She merely reinforced the issue. A friend of mine also was a patient of hers and says she looked out the window and at her watch, during his sessions as well. :(

Dr. Gold conducted herself in a non professional manner, she accused me of being drug seeking when asking for a medication to help with anxiety for a procedure I am getting. She knew very little about contraception and had to be told by her nurse how to answer my questions properly. Wouldn’t recommend her.

So far I have nothing but positive things to say about her. She's has experience with my issues, has a plan of attack and has given me faith that I may find a solution. It's a long wait between appointments because she is in pretty high demand (rated people’s choice best doc in Halifax for a few years) but she’s great. She’s had a full career, gone into retirement and resumed her practice because she cares. I’d been having progressive pain and fatigue as well as other symptoms for ten years and my husband’s collogue, an OBG in the US, urged me to look into it. He thought there were hormone and ovarian issues. I was assured when the first thing out of her mouth was have you had your hormones checked? After seeing several walk in doctors in my quest to find a GP, my GP and OGB in NS, not one of them had checked out my hormones.

So far I have nothing but positive things to say about her. She is taking my concerns seriously, seems to have heard of these sorts of issues before and has a plan of attack. She's given me some faith that I may find a solution o problems which have been causing me pain for years.
