Dr. Wilson has always been very professional and knowledgeable. He helped support our family in our son's recent cancer diagnosis and both he and staff were always asking how he was doing as he was looked after by oncologists and surgeons in Toronto. He was supportive and helpful with my own experience with mental health difficulties, being compassionate, offering any type of help and making suggestions. He was also open to prescribing meds suggested to me by another professional and stated he didn't know a lot about that particular drug but went to the reference with me to be sure it was what I needed. Very careful and compassionate regarding concerns I brought to him re: possible problems with ca, assuring me to always feel free to come and check these concerns with him and he would refer as needed (which he has done). Also very respectful of privacy, if anything almost too much but I am sure I could persist to gather any info I wanted.

It's pretty sad that his highest points are for punctuality. I agree with the fact that he is arrogant and if you happen to be female that all of your problems are either due to stress or your weight. He only half listens to what you are telling him and then makes a glib and sometimes disparaging remark. I also know a number of Dr. Wilsons patients who also agree that if they could they would change in a heartbeat. He is a very good Dr. as long as there is not anything seriously wrong with you. You can always get an appointment and you have your three minutes to tell him your concerns to which he generally adds that it is stress. He recently had told a friend that their pain was stress related and it turned out that it was CANCER and had it not been for him being on holidays and gone to another physician that person would be dead today!!!

The same things I appreciate about Terry are the things that drive me crazy. He doesn't over react about things but, at times, I have wished he would take more action. I do appreciate that he will take the time to talk about issues and rarely holds us to the "one issue per visit rule".

I found that he has gone out of his way with my daughter to find her a specialist with her eyes. I like that he will take my children appointments at all times and does not make me feel like I am an idiot for bringing them in. As he always tells me that it is okay to be a mom and better to get things checked out. I find he is very approachable. He takes the time to listen and yes I can see he does not deal well with fools, and that he is not quick to hand out drugs when he feels things can be dealt in other ways. I will miss him when he retires.

The last time I went to him he looked at me and said "what are you doing here, there's nothing wrong with you - go home". Every time I have gone to him, "there is nothing wrong with me". Thankfully I am forturnate enough to have a company doc at my workplace who has disagreed with this yahoo on a few occasions. I agree with all the other comments except the ones that praise him. Hopefully he retires soon and I'll have a new doc.

unprofessional, lacks integrity, intellect, and insite. refuses to refer to specialists. Yells at his patients. Told my 84 yr old father-in-law (who had been his patient for 20plus years, been through 4 major surgeries and never once complained of pain) that he was drug seeking when he went to him asking for pain relief and referral for rectal pain. He has metastatic rectal cancer!!!! Dr. Wilson is an embarassment to the medical profession.

He does not have compassion. He does not listen to a problem in detail, then puts down your thoughts or questions. If asked about help for weight problems, for example, he says you are just depressed and says that it is only common sense to eat less and exercise more--no help is needed. I know 4 people at work who have Terry as a doctor and they all say he has brought them to tears, or they have left his office feeling put down and not understood. If there was not a shortage of doctors, we would all leave him in a heart beat.
