He was my Family doctor from 1969 through 1999 when we moved to North Bay ! He delivered my 4 children and literally saved my life when I hemorrhaged during my first child's birth ! He didn't even tell me-the specialist I saw later did ! Years later he scheduled me for counselling and made me the last appointment of the day to give me all the time I needed ! He even called me at home to see if I was OK ! I miss him !

Dr Zeilig was my families Doctor since 1969. 50 years, my parents are both deceased now and he is still my doctor. My parents moved to New Brunswick for their retirement and while my Mother was dying Dr Zeilig was on vacation in NB and took the time to go visit my Mother. He is a caring doctor who will find out what the problem is and fix it. As for his receptionist Domenica, she has never been rude to me, always cordial. I know Dr Zeilig will retire soon, I know I will never find another Doctor like him.

While Dr. zeilig is a very good and thorough doctor the inexplicable wait times drive me crazy. It’s not unusual to wait over an hour after the given appt time. No explanation given. Also the office area is worn and and while it may not actually be durty, it looks dirty. That coupked with the receptuonists window being plastered with signs so that it looks impenetrable make the experience of going to this doctor stressful.

Dr. Zeilig is a great physician (patient and knowledgeable). My parents and I have been seeing him for 30+ years. However, his secretary (Domencia) is ridiculously rude and should not be in such a customer facing role. Sadly, I will be moving doctors solely because of poor experiences with her.

Every time I went to his office I had to wait a long time, I didn't like that. The communication was poor-I was very young at the time and I remember I wanted to try a certain drug and he refused without telling me why. I returned to his office asking to try the same drug, instead of hearing a good warning about the drug, I hear a "OK" and get a prescription for (what I find out later to be) the very bad drug. I wish he told me why he refused to prescribe the drug! It was so bad I had to quit taking it. Instead of prescribing a healthier alternative he tells me "I have to keep trying (the drugs) until I find one that works for me"& continues to prescribe more pharmaceutical garbage!!Years had past & I returned to his office several times in a very bad state-I had deteriorated mentally&physically with the overuse of pharma drugs and he never noticed!! Compassionate strangers noticed and showed genuine concern, but he did not!! I felt ignored by this man! He did NOTHING to help me get my health back! I had to do it myself! How did I do it? I stopped consuming ALL pharma drugs & avoided going back to his office! He may have knowledge but he's not always good at sharing it with his patients! He didn't share it with me back then when he first refused to prescribe the terrible drug! Why did he change his mind and prescribe it? He wasn't a good doctor to me. The receptionist didn't handle a certain situation very well; she was quite idiotic!

My family doctors office made an appt for me at this joke of an office. The poorly trained admin called me telling me she didnt know who I was and how did I get an appt. Was she kidding? MY DOCTOR'S OFFICE MADE THE APPT FOR ME AS A REFFERAL OF COURSE SHE DIDNT KNOW WHO I WAS. I politely told her to call my doctor's office for any info. Okay, so yesterday I arrive for my appointment. A lot was happening in the reception area so I took a seat and quielty waited as the same idiotic admin that called my phone with her nonsense questions complained to some patients about being hungry and not getting a chance to eat her FISH STEW for lunch. Finally she was able to ask me if she could help me. I said yes and told her my name. She uttered and "oh" , flipped through her appt book and told me the doctor was going on lunch. It was 2:10 in the afternoon and my appt was 2:15. Was she kidding me? I just walked out of the office so I didnt punch her face off.

Doctor Zeilig is very caring, compassionate, helpful and knowledgeable. He always listens well, prescribes appropriate effective treatment and will take whatever time is necessary to address all of my concerns. He sometimes runs a little behind schedule but after seeing him as my family doctor for over 44 years I can honestly say it happens less frequently now than in past years. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
