Dr. Weiss has been our pediatrician for about 10 years. He has always been very good for our 3 daughters. What I have always liked about him is that he listens to me and respects my parental instincts. If you are looking for a doctor with a dynamic personality he may not be the one, but if you are looking for a doctor with years of experience and knowledge, he is the one. He is probably getting close to retiring. When he does, we will miss him greatly.

Dr. Weiss was my pediatrician as a child and I must say, he doesn't have a great disposition with kids and should have chosen a different specialty. He's really aloof and spends a minimal amount of time as possible. When I was 16-17 I started getting sick, fatigued, and gaining weight. He said I had mono and that it would go away. A year later when I went to college and saw an Internist for adults, I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and given proper treatment. It really pissed me off- he just assumed that because I was a teenager I must have had mono instead of ordering a simple blood test to determine what was really going on. I'm 27 now... I'm surprised he's still around. He should retire.

my first few visits with him went fine. I did have one emergency visit when my daughter was 9months old and he seemed angry that I bothered him with her rash. had to wait in the office for over45min. once he completely dismissed my husband during a visit. this time around he did all but tell me i was overreacting about wanting to have my child tested for hepatitis and HIV- we both might have been exposed in the hospital when she was born. On top of that he never called with the results, I called them!He could'nt remove my sons stichtes in office because of the way they healed and sent me back to the er ($75 er bill)the nurse soaked the wound with neosporine and the stitches came right out- why could he do this. he did tell his sect. to refund my copay. After 4years with this group, I am leaving. he might be good for some people but I really want a doctor who is interested in the child and family. I feel the level of care he provides is average at best.
