Shame on you. Dr. Vaschetto died of cancer. Upon hearing of his diagnosis, he closed his practice AFTER finding doctors for all of his patients. He was caring, empathetic and meticulous about working to find the most effective meds for each individual's needs. Best psychiatrist ever. No one will ever take his place.

I gogled the Dr. because I thought he died. This guy just vanished one day. Had no idea he was practising again. He hung me out to dry, the receptionist said he was 'on leave' and didn't know when he would be back (over a year ago) and gave numbers of other psychiatrists (who sucked). This guy wasn't good to begin with, but turns out there are worse ones out there. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Who on earth abandons their patients w/ no explanation and then NEVER gets back in touch with them to let them know what happened. Unethical. I contacted the office many times and they would not tell me anything. Looks like he's practising again though...

Dr. Vaschetto is an amazing psychiatrist. He is available day and night and remembers everything discussed in previous sessions. A patient can sense his feeling of responsibility to give each patient his full attention and help. He doesn't tell a patient what they want to hear. He can be stern, and without lecturing, let one know when behaviorial changes are necessary. He is very detailed while explaining his decisions, but never makes one feel defensive. He has never overmedicated and is very careful about tracking current medications. I believe he also has a degree in pharmacology. His office manager, Dee-Dee,is efficient, empathetic and does everything she can to work within your schedules. Like Dr. Vaschetto, all calls to the office are always promptly returned.

Had me fill out a fill a questionaire and proceded to diagnose me from this without asking me why I may have replied like I did. When he placed me on Strattera and I started to ask questions about why this medication vs others, he became very defensive ....started getting angry and saying things no doctor ever should to a client, and had me in tears. I think he may have issues with intelligent females (although I did hear he had a history of helping women with breast cancer from my surgeon and he had been thought of highly years ago for this....I left without him every knowing I was a breast cancer pt). He was absolutely no help to me at a time I needed a lot of help and would not recommend this doctor at all if you are an intelligent, young female who self advocates and needs to ask a lot of questions regarding medication selection process. My gut feeling tells me he may do better with males closer to his age. Good Luck in your Journey!

Very understanding and thoughtful, and gets to the root of the problem quickly. He has helped me enormously. I wish I had started with him earlier.

Dr. Vaschetto has extensive knowledge about psychiatry, medication management, and psychoanalysis. He was very helpful to me and my family members. During the time I was trying to find the right balance of medication he was very attentive, responsive, and sympathetic with my ailments, soon we found the right combination and now I am doing very well. Dr. Vaschetto was recommended to me by several doctors in the area, and is very well respected and recognized in the community. I'm so grateful for his help and would refer anyone I cared about to him for their psychiatric needs.

He first seemed to be a good psych, but my last appointment with him turned out to not so good. I will not be seeing him again. He made acuzations about my mom ( he never met her), I gave him permission to talk to my parents ad he said I gave him permission to talk t my mom this would be my last appointment. I since then have found a new psych. I don't recommend him unless, you like taking and being doanosed with Bipolar. He was able to diagnose me w/ that after the first meeting, I have moderate depression.
