This psychiatrist has no regard for time. If I attend one appointment with her, then if I don't attend exactly another appointment in at least one week to one month, then I have never been seen by a psychiatrist before in my entire life.

I was pleasantly surprised when I recently had my first visit with Dr. Baxter. She took the whole hour getting to know me, asking questions and listening to what I had to say. I felt like she was genuine and sincere- which made me feel very comfortable with her.

I basically owe my life to Dr. Baxter. She is kind, compassionate, punctual, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I am so grateful that I was referred to her. I have been seeing her and been under her care for 5 years now.

Terrible experience. The red flags began when my insurance started denying my claims. I requested the paperwork from Dr. Baxter's office which was 10-15 pages thick about my "condition". I was shocked to learn that Dr. Baxter listed me as "poorly groomed", "extremely sad" - none of which described the reason why I was actually there, to obtain a light dosage for anxiety and sadness after a break-up. In addition, she kept making me come back for a "visit" every time I wanted a prescription refill which was completely unnecessary. She could have easily fulfilled my prescription for more than 1 month. I finally found out that she diagnosed me with "major depressive disorder" after Blue Cross dropped me; a diagnosis she never gave me. The worst part? I didn't feel depressed. Now I have a black spot on my medical record and cannot obtain health insurance at any reasonable rate. Be careful what you say, people! The doctor is only out to get paid! Avoid at all costs!

Dr. Baxter was polite but I found her to be emotionless and dry. She was quick to start me on Pristiq. I didn't start it and she was a little annoyed on the next but really didn't address my concerns. In her defense, I wasn't sure what to expect in visiting a psychiatrist. She was very prompt and the office was very welcoming. As with anything, this is my opinion only and every person is different with a different opinion.
