I have been seeing Dr. Janes for 13 years. She is extremely kind and compassionate. Listens to what you have to say then gives her take on what she believes will help you to feel better. The best psychiatrist I've ever had in my 30 years of mental illness. She has always been punctual for appointments unless she had an emergency. There is no better psychiatrist in Nashville. I'm sorry to see her close her practice 2/28/18. It is a great loss to this community.

Mboro commute. No service to tell I’m goin to be late. Tried to call three times to get someone to know I was running behind. They don’t answer the phone until 9am. My appt was at 745, but the facility doesn’t open until 8. I am very very pissed off and believe I should be reimbursed gas money, and inconvenience. I sat through almost an hour of traffic. I will not be coming back to this facility and will be finding a new, better, more convenient and understanding psychiatry office.

Her fees are outrageous. I was self-pay and she charged me $135 for meeting with me 10 minutes. If I paid cash it would go down to $100 or so. Staff never explained to me discrepancy in fees whether I paid cash or brought a check.

I've been seeing Dr. Janes a little more than a year now. You have to take reviews with a grain of salt. People are more prone to write a review if it is negative. This is just like anything else - not everyone will have the same experience. I've had a very positive one and will continue to see her and would recommend others to her as well. Someone mentioned she had a lawsuit filed against her by a patient. She did and it was entirely dismissed. Read the appeal. It's easy to find. I think a lot of people who have a bad experience want to express dissatisfaction because their lives are not entirely fixed to the degree they expect them to be. That takes time and it takes work on everyone's part, not just a doctor's.

Sued by her patients. It can be googled to find the law suits of how she treats her patients.

Dr. Janes is the best doctor I've ever had. She helped me find the right medications and gives me great advice about life situations. She has a lot of wisdom as well as medical expertise.

Dr. Janes ruined my life. That is the cold, hard truth. She mis-diagnosed me and therefore failed to prescribe me the appropriate medication. In fact, she placed me on PROLIXIN, in which the pharmacy didn't even have in stock because it's archaic. I was then placed on two different anti-psychotics that I wasn't given the warnings or possible side effects of (and they caused MANY). She did not listen to me and what was going on and care about my FEELINGS, and when she did validate me, she chose not to adjust her diagnosis, in fact, she continued to add diagnoses' on top of each other. My life went from great - to something horrible that happened to me - that was out of my control. I went to see what I thought was a trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Janes, who left my life in shambles - and I'm still feeling the effects. She is all about the money and NOT empathetic at all about your feelings. This is a warning to whomever will read this - I felt it was the right thing to do to share my experience - in hopes of helping others. The medications Dr. Janes placed me on changed my brain chemistry, my personality, and have DEVASTATED my life. I hope this helps someone.

Receptionist is unhelpful. I was late and appealed to her to discuss some way this could be made to work. She wouldn't discuss it. I explained why it was so important to me to be seen soon. She became angry and order me off the property. It's one thing to say no when one has to. It's another entirely to treat people like she does. I never met Dr Janes but if she would employ such a person to receive her patients... Well, enough said.

I had been seeing Dr. jaynes for about a 5 year period and thought she was a wonderful doctor. I lost my job, and health insurance. It was like the "wonderful" doctor vanished and she became all about the money! So sad! I had met her after a failed suicide attempt and really need treatment. Im still shocked that the kind lady I met was really only about the money. WHY??? Read all the aboce reviews, I'm not the only one
