He caused me to have a grand Mal seizure by treating me with various Rxs which severely lowered my sodium level. I tore my rotator cuff during the convulsion which required surgery. He played God with my mental health and should be jailed.

Absolutely horrible, did not review chart, did not elicit appropriate Information. Did not help . For a serious mental illness (not typical depression or something), is NOT the doctor to go to

I called Dr. Fogarty on behalf of my husband to set up an appointment as a new patient. I left the detailed information as requested with our daytime/evening phone numbers. Dr. Fogarty never returned my call -- he appears to be highly recommended, but I would be weary of a mental health professional who doesn't even give the courtesy of a return call to someone who is in need of some medical help.

Dr. Fogarty is very knowlegable, patient, and understanding. He takes time not only to manage medications but also to see where they play a role in the rest of your life's aspects. He also strongly believes in the role of psychotherapy for treatment success, i.e. meds alone won't cut it. He is well established in the community and can give reccomendations for other health care providers. Overall, if you are suffering from mental illness, Dr. Fogarty won't give up, so neither should you.
