Right before the nurse strapped me to the table, she told me that the doctor never performed this kind of procedure. He proceeded to try to insert a needle in my hip joint. He could not find the joint, and I felt the needle scraping and scraping my bones as he tried to get it in. This procedure was supposed to relieve pain. However, my pain is ten times worse than what it was and I can barely walk now, only shuffle. I can only hope now that I can heal from this procedure, let alone the problem I was having before it was done. Dr. Phelan was nice to me and did try to answer my questions. But I don't understand why I was sent to a doctor for a procedure that is not his specialty.
