I went to Dr. Wang in 2005 for radiation treatment. I had brain cancer. When weighing whether I should go the radiation route I weighed the pros and cons like anyone else would. The pros and cons I had were purely off of the information Dr. Wang provided and my Oncologist. My biggest fear was fertility. Dr. Wang informed me that my fertility would not be affected as the radiation would be to my head and not concentrated in my fertility department. I chose to have the radiation done to give myself the best chances of success inbeating cancer. I am still cancer free so that is wonderful. I recently found out that my left ovary is a dud due to radiation and chemo exposure. I took the Temodar chemo pills in 05 which were a new study and gave less side effects. I am not sure if it was Radiation or chemo that did it specifically however both doctors felt I would stay fertile and I have lost half of my fertility. Just an fyi to consider when weighing radiation treatment.
