Horrible, horrible experience in 2015. big trauma for my children and me.

I can’t comment on Dr. Bourque’s professionalism or abilities; however, his office policies are not patient centered, and appear to be very financially driven. My daughter, a university student in Halifax, had a loose wire post orthodontic treatment in Ontario. On the recommendation of her Ontario orthodontist, she called Dr. Bourque’s office to be seen quickly to have it repaired. The receptionist insisted that she needed a complete consultation, including photos, in order for Dr. Bourque to look at her loose wire. On top of that, they couldn’t see her for 2 weeks. This is a very unfortunate policy that is not patient focused. We have let her Ontario orthodontist know about this so he no longer refers patients to Dr. Bourque. Another ortho in town saw her the next day for a brief consultation, fixed the wire, and offered to waive the modest fee in exchange for an online review for university students. If this policy (needing photos) is in place to mitigate litigation, perhaps there’s a reason Dr. Bourque is concerned in this regard. The office has something to learn in terms of how to treat patients.

This excellent orthodontist straightened my daughter's teeth. He is a gentleman, a great communicator and a perfectionist. he made very sure that SHE wanted her teeth straightened and was careful to place the burden of caring for her teeth on her- important for a teenager. She has a million dollar smile and we are both forever grateful- Thanks Paul!

What kind of orthodontist does not consider dental midline and shifts teeth to save implants... No physical evidence at the end of the treatment the bite is fine like a dental model...
So many years I had to spend to figure out what went wrong after the treatment

I believe he is superficial. He is not giving details about treatment options and once the treatment is complete , if you have any issue he won;t really assist.

Dr. Bourque has been my orthodontist since 2010 when I was in sixth grade. I had braces put on at the end of eighth grade, and had them taken off in February of 2015. I needed a dental implant and a few other surgeries done to correct it afterwards, and all I can say is that he is a fantastic doctor. He's very intelligent, a perfectionist, and someone who wants to create a positive experience for you. Dr. Bourke took a strong interest in my case while explaining everything thoroughly, taking into account my wants and needs . The process was long, but well worth it. I'm now 19 and very pleased with the results. I would for sure recommend him to anyone.

I have been with Dr Bourque since junior high. I had braces then for a while and then upon failing to wear my retainers had to return last year for braces once again on my lower teeth. Although disappointed I hadn't worn my retainer he was very kind and welcoming and great at getting the process started once again. He was great with my awful teeth (x2) and was wonderful with my little sister as well, who had been told she needed a dental appliance as a child and he told her that no, if left alone for a few years braces would fix it just fine and she wouldn't be in ortho for 6+ years. Would absolutely recommend him.

I went to Dr. Bourque as a small child and i can tell you if anyone seen my teeth they would not believe what a mess they were. I have seen first hand the amazing work he has done. Now a mother of 3 i would not think twice about taking my own children to see him knowing the fantastic results.

Dr. Bourque is probably the BEST orthdontist in Atlantic Canada. He straightened my teeth and several of my family members' teeth. We all are very very grateful for his services. He is an incredible orthodontist because he is a perfectionist. On top of this, he is a real gentleman, always making you feel completely comfortable with your treatments. Thank you, Dr. Bourque, for giving me a million dollar smile!!

You will not find anyone more knowledgeable and professional than Dr. Bourque. I suffered from jaw problems and an overbite for the majority of my life and it wasn't until after I went through Dr. Bourque's orthodontic treatment did my teeth and bite improve tremendously. After a bout with stress nearly 10 years later that caused aggravation in my jaws to return, I returned to Dr. Bouque, and to my surpise, he remembered me as one of his former patients. In addition, there was no hesitation to schedule me in for an appointment eventhough I was no longer getting orthodontic treatment from him. Once again, his advice and knowledge helped me to alleviate the problem. He takes the time to explain everything and as a patient you can feel that he truly cares and wants to help. I am thankful to him, as he improved my condition a great deal. I found his entire staff to be friendly and professional over the years while I was his patient. I highly recommend him to anyone.
