Dr. Shukhman is an amazing doctor. Anyone who is looking for a psychiatrist with an outstanding knowledge, excellent bedside manners, compassion and friendliness will be very pleased to be under care of this physician. He is attentive to his patients needs, and he can listen and hear his patients. Dr. Shukhman is very approachable and always make himself available if his help is needed. I am very impressed by Dr. Shukhman and highly recommend him to everyone who is in search for a great doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Shukhman for a few months and have been very pleased with the experience so far. He's been patient in answering questions and has done a good job at explaining treatment mechanics that I didn't understand.

Thanks to the honest, caring and professional Dr. Shukman, I am alive and well. He helped to ween me off of the dangerous mind-altering meds, especially that wicked Klonopin prescribed to me by by a previous negligent Psychiatrist who did NOT explain the risks involved and link to suicides.

I had suffered the Akathisia so common to benzo usage and nearly ended my life because I could literally not sleep or stop moving physically for weeks due to the most unimaginable inner restlessness and anxiety where my brain felt it was on fire.

The attempt I made I was unaware of due to the influence of the drug and I had impaired or no judgment left at all. After beating my benzo addiction Dr. Shukman helped get me back to natural living remedies, including exercise, meditation and natural herbs.

He is not anti-medicine but he knows of the racket the medical industrial complex engages in and the big pharmaceutical dollars generated at the expense of lives lost and families devastated. Dr. Shukman discloses all risks and known side effects of the meds he prescribes.

The most helpful psychiatrist I have seen. Not only does he really know his stuff, he is also not afraid to think outside the box in terms of what medications will help you. The best thing about Dr. S is that he won't give up on you - he will stick with you & keep trying different approaches. He really cares about helping his patients feel better and function better in life.

I have turned to Dr. Shukhman twice for help and advice. He was spot on about my catastophizing and was able to turn me around in a helpful direction. He is friendly, and knows a great deal about psychiatry. I wish I had seen him sooner and sought his help/advice. It would have saved me a lot of worry. If you need a great psychiatrist (5 stars), he is your man. And yes, I am really a patient writing this.

Dr. Shukhman is knowledgeable, intelligent and compassionate. He cares about his patients. I saw him for many years and he helped me tremendously. If you need a psychiatrist I highly recommend seeing him. At some point I did not have insurance and his self pay rates were very reasonable. He really listens and tries to help. His suggestions are quite often effective and right on target. What I like the most about this doctor is that he thinks outside the box which is something I can't say about many psychiatrists. He discusses life habits and diet as part of treatment. He takes his time and really discusses your situation with you instead of just prescribing medication.
