I have difficulty matching Dr Imran to some of the negative reviews i have read here. My husband has been a patient for perhaps 15 years. And we could not give him a high enough rating!!! He has been excellent in every way! We are very thankful to have had him as our endocrinologist. When it comes to a doctor, an expert is more important than a handholder by far. The man is extremely busy, treating patients from all over the atlantic provinces. If he seems abrupt sometimes its usually because he has many other patients to see. We would give him a 10 star rating if we could.

I've been visiting Dr Imran for many years. I find him to be excellent in every facet of his job. I highly recommend this doctor!!! I am a Cushings patient which is rather complicated and he has shown to be very skilled.

I had to request a change in my endocrinologist, I had a few appointments with this doctor for follow up for thyroid cancer. I was treated abroad and I have first hand knowledge of my cancer and my treatment, I also know I require follow up for the rest of my life. He seem annoyed that I was in his office for my follow up, he then proceeded to "read" my chart in a language he doesn't understand rather than listening to me. For the following visits I was constantly put down, belittled and gaslight. I ended up requesting a change in doctors for my follow ups, the other doctor is not great but anything is better than this doctor.

Horrible doctor, horrible bedside manners, incredibly misogynistic, and a blatant disregard for patients and their well-being.

Glad I read these before risking my life with Dr. Imran. I heard nothing postive from collegues - looks like they were right. Off to another specialist that has a solid reputation.

Dr. Imran is arrogant, condescending, and frankly, sexist. He doesn't listen to women when they come into his office; he thinks we have no knowledge of what's going on in our own bodies. He's rude, unhelpful, and I'd never go see him again.

Dr. Imran is my Endocrinologist post Thyroid Cancer 2012 and Thryoidectomy in 2012. He and Dr. Rajaraman are my two main Endocrinology doctors. In 2013 I had I-131 and at that time I didnt seem to have many side effects, besides the normal rules that come with it.. stay in your room, away from people and pets etc.. In 2014 I had Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Little did I know until I did some research I-131 can have a chance of Leukemia. Of course, at the time of my Thyroid Cancer this was not relayed to me or my family. Would I have still taken the I-131.. Most likely not. I would rather deal with Thyroid Cancer then with Leukemia. Did Leukemia come from the I-131.. I guess no one will ever know, but it would have been nice to know. I informed Dr. Imran of this for future patients in the hopes that no one else ever has to deal with this. Let me tell you, its not easy. I am 8 years post Thyroidectomy and all he has done the entire time is rush me through my apppointments and change my dosages of my Synthroid. He doesnt listen to how the patient actually feels and just throws medication adjustments at you. When I was on 150mcg I finally felt stabilzed.. and then of course it was switched again to another dose. I now have every single symptom of Hypothyroid and he treats only results of tests and never ever listens to how the patient is feeling. I have a strong medical background in medicine and am aware of how to treat these disorders, but still does not listen. Doesnt like when people know things about medicine. I tried suggesting maybe a dessicated thyroid replacement hormone and he wouldnt even give me the time of day to speak. I have now suggested a poly thryoid medication that includes T4 and T3 and I am sure he will not respond to that request either. I have had to fight with him and I am now taking 2 different doses of synthroid.. still has no idea what his doing and hasn’t followed up with me in over 6 months. Its not fair. He can be a nice man, he just is not good at all with bedside manner, or listening to the patient. His receptionist.. She is something else. Beyond rude, interrogating, mean, and makes you feel like youre less then her and dont deserve to be there. Horrible.
