It was a pleasure working with Dr. Jahan. I am pleased with my consultation with the Dr and she addressed all my concerns and needs. She is one of the best Doctors that I have seen and definitely recommend her.

This is the worst doctor i have ever seen In My Life ! First she said i had no respect for her or other people in the office because i took my children with me . Please keep in mind i am a single mother of 5 children trying to struggle on my own. Then she yelled at my 3 year old daughter telling her to clean after her self after that she yelled at me to clean her office after all that she did not exam me at all , she walked us out the front door telling us to get lost ! Mt children were scared of this lady to the point were my son said please dont ever bring us back her mom! I felt so bad for my children because she just open another door for them they have never seen or heard someone yell at them before in that matter , i would say stay away far away !!!!

Dr. Sheila Jahan's response
I am sorry that you feel this way, but our office is for adult patients who have severe neurological issues. We ask that patients with very young children refrain from bringing them to our office as this may disturb or upset other patients.

We thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation. We would be happy to set another appointment for you. Please give our office a call.

Amazing and extremely knowledgeable. She has been quite helpful in our care. This is a doctor you can keep, she actually cares about you and goes out of her to make sure that all of your questions are answered.

My wife reffered me to see a neurologist after suffering two strokes in the past 3 years. I have been on numerous types chronic pain medications but never treated properly or diagnosed where the problems were. Dr Jahan was so helpful with everything and I HAVE NOT BEEN HEALTHY FOR YEARS! She is great! A++++++++++

First off I am appalled to see any thing short of spectacular about Dr Jahan! She is the most knowledgable Neurologist in the DC area and helpful! She spent so much time with my family and I am my heart goes out to her. Other neurologist simply dismissed my condition and passed me on to another doctor. Dr Jahan took the time examine me fully and I amspthankful for her! Her staff is great and very helpful as well! I wish I could remove anything negative about her because of what he was able to do for my family and I am here today because of her.

I refereed to her when I felt really disappointed finding a doctor who could really give me proper prescription to get rid of my chronic depression and insomnia . With the first prescription I felt really different , my life has been changed a lot . Each time i visit her she is kind with a big smile, listens well and always gives me good life guidelines that make me feel greatly . I am totally happy with her .

Extremely rude and incompetent. Refused to provide MRI and EEG results over the phone to a patient suffering from severe dizziness, and insisted that she wait another week to receive them in person. When asked to explain her refusal, she became irate and called me an idiot, but she called back 10 minutes later to provide the results. Turns out she misread the tests.

The reception staff is horrible. Getting them to send prescriptions to the pharmacy and test results to my primary doctor was nearly impossible. I had to call them several times and even went to the office just to get copies of results. I even got complaints from my other doctors and my insurance company because they had to call several times to get them to fax anything. The reception is the absolute worst. When Dr. Jahan diagnosed me with multiple sclerosis I started to cry and she said "I don't know why you are crying. It's not like you are going to die from it. People live with this disease for 20 years." As if living with any disease is a walk in the park. I found her minimalization horribly insensitive and inappropriate. I don't think she is completely incompetent but she has zero bedside manner. She is quite rude most of the time. I wouldn't go to her is she was the last neuro in Virginia and she fired her reception staff.

Dr. Jahan is a great physician. I have medicaid and it was never an issue. It took me a long time to find such a caring and intelligent neurologist. Dr. Jahan went through all my records and worked with me to create a treatment plan that was best for me. Her staff was very organized and efficient and her technicians (for her sleep lab and EEG) were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Jahan!
