Terrible doctor and front desk staff don’t know anything

I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Emery for his care over many, many years now. He has been a blessing in my life. Saying thank you never feels like enough! I hope he knows how very much he is appreciated and respected by me - Lisa

How Dr. Emery is still practicing is beyond comprehension. Unprofessional and only cares about the quantity of patients coming in. He's a pill pusher. He doesn't care what the cause of your ailment is. So long as there's a pill to fix it, that's what he's going to prescribe you. It seems like he just pulls randoms off the street to run his front desk. His staff are ill mannered, lack compassion, and honestly have know clue what they're doing. Avoid this doctor at all costs. He his aggressive when agitated. I would fear my life around him.

Dr Christopher Emery failed to report sexual abuse TWICE regarding the same doctor over a 6-year period and TWO different patients. The College of Physicians & Surgeons Of Manitoba records his unethical neglect.

On February 8, 2006, in accordance with Section 47(1)(c) of The Medical Act, the Investigation Committee of the College censured Dr. Emery with respect to his failure to report a matter to the College in January 2005 in circumstances where it was mandatory to report. [...] ON THESE FACTS, THE INVESTIGATION COMMITTEE RECORDS ITS DISAPPROVAL OF DR. EMERY’S FAILURE TO REPORT A MATTER TO THE COLLEGE IN JANUARY 2005 IN CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE IT WAS MANDATORY TO REPORT.
In addition to appearing before the Investigation Committee to accept the censure, Dr. Emery paid the costs of the investigation in the amount of $1,669.50."

If a doctor fails to report (at least) TWO separate sexual abuses by the same doctor (even under his employ), isn't this a serious risk to public. Why is he still practicing?

I love Dr Emery. He's been my Dr for 10 years. The past year or so though his office environment has really changed. It's near impossible to get appointments and being someone with a chronic illness I need to be able to easily see my Dr. I request tests to be done and never hear anything back. I've been looking for a new Dr sadly. I will miss Dr Emery though when we do end up parting ways. It's also become a conflict him being my Dr with other things going on in my life. I feel I dont get the best care anymore as a result.

Dr Emery is one of the best doctors for care that I've ever had. He is knowledgeable, courteous, understanding and is always willing to help whatever the issue. His staff is also very helpful and always assist you in a pleasant manner. Thank you to you all for making it easier for patients.

The staff guard their tongue like it was their job; Emery is professionally aggressive, overtly judgmental, dismissive and frivolous in his assumptions. A certified physician licensed to peddle 'Big Pharma', I'm scarred for life and experience ongoing agonies as a result; at least I didn't have to have flesh surgically excised....

If you don't know you ass from a hole in the ground, he's as good as any I suppose; just remember - the only thing this fitm pos can see is a '$'-sign.

Dr Emey lacks knowledge of the Manitiba healthcare system. He had very little compassion and barely addressed the patient.

Dr Emery is amazing. I do have to say though that recently it's near impossible to get in to see him or even have an email or phone call returned. He use to be very diligent about returning calls etc. Not sure what's going on. He's still one of the best Dr.'s and hopefully trying to see him and contact him will improve again.

This is the most helpful,knowledgeable doctor in winnipeg. He is so polite and caring. His staff is great to and polite. Would definitely recommend Dr emery to other patients.
