Oh, please tell me he has retired! I didn't care about the accent.. After D&C I was admitted to hospital ... he had also removed my appendix. He said, you must have been having problems down there. Also said, re scar, I could still wear a bikini!! One year later, I found out that he had punctured my uterous... didn't tell me. Got bad infection in the stitches and thank God saw Dr.Pace in emerg who treated me. Then, several years later, when flown here by airambulance from Toronto after cancer treatment, major drug reaction and anorexia, my Gyno was on vacation and Dr.Z. discharged me the next day: saying, oh go home and eat a box of chocolates and have a glass of wine! I was off work for a further 2.5 months due to not eating, depression. he should have been reported 20 years ago! I have been keeping this in for years - he doesn't realize that patients still live with the bad memories and in my opinion is a form of abuse.

This doctor messed up my right fallopian tube removal in 2006, due to an ectopic pregnancy. Not only did I wake up during surgery and he told a staff member to "Shut me up". I am VERY allergic to the staples they use, yet he used them anyways on me to close the wound (though they where informed of the allergy). He was extremely rude and mean to me when he came to look in post op. I was asleep due to a large dose of sleeping pills when he came, but he shook the bed so violently I awoke due to the pain of being moved (I had only been asleep a couple of hours and the dose was for 8hrs). I got a massive infection a couple weeks later (Bright green, leaking, almost the size of a grapefruit) and he refused to treat it, so I left town for medical attention and almost died from the infection. I have had nothing but problems from the old surgery. It wasn't even done right...needed surgery again in 2012.

I was made an appointment with Dr. Zeman for an abortion and I was nervous going to my first appointment because I had heard so many bad things about him, but I went in and he was very friendly and kind and helpful. I sat and cried and he joked and did his best to reassure me and make me feel better. I would recommend him to absolutely everyone. Great doctor, definitely knows what he is doing, and if he is rude with you it is simply because you are too young to be pregnant and should have used birth control to begin with. He is a father and is very caring and sees it how he would react if his daughter had been pregnant at a young age. Excellent, service, very knowledgeable and helpful.

My wife changed her mind about seeing him while on his waiting list. He kept putting her off over and over and over and the one time she did see him he spoke to her like she was a piece of dung on his shoe. I told him right out that if he ever spoke to my wife that way again I'd knock his saggy old arse into next week. He must have realized I was serious because he changed his mannerisms immediately. Too late. I'm glad she cancelled because in my opinion he's a **** for doing abortions like they're oil changes.

He's rude, and needs to understand that some of the patients going in there are confused and looking for HELP. Isn't that what a doctor is suppose to do for a patient? Instead you get his opinion.I was young, confused, pregnant and needed HELP all I got was attitude. In the end i got an abortion, and for a year or more my mental health (depression) set in, I think if DR.zeman wouldn't have made me feel like a grain of sand and a baby killer it would have helped me a lot, but instead of a helpful doctor I was alone. I had no one to talk to because he made me feel like i just murdered someone...I feel the way he acts is pushing girls to find other ways of getting it done because i would rather pay for my surgery in a different country (maybe South Africa) yes i'd be that desperate than go back to his rude, old fashioned sausage fingers

Ice. Was very young when I first saw him. Gave me hell for not keeping my menstrual cycle on the calendar. Made me feel stupid about my knowledge of medical things. Told me to go see another Dr. when I asked him about a medical matter not related to his field. During the exam, he decided to leave without saying a thing. He left the door open the whole time he did the exam and was gone for 10 minutes. Did not tell me that I could put my feet down and get dressed. Lied there the whole time with my legs in the "pap test position" with people walking by until he came back. Was told he was the best surgeon in that area in North Bay back then. Thank God I didn't need to find out. Worst experience with a doctor ever.

I owe so much to Dr.Zeman. It is because of him my son was delivered healthy and safely. I had a very complicated pregnancy with a heart problem and my OBGYN hadn't made a decision on how I was to deliver. Thanks to Dr.Zeman I had no problems delivering naturally and we were both fine. I also had Dr.Zeman when I miscarried. He was very supportive and caring and helped make a very sad moment into a more tolerable one. He is a very caring man.

I came across this website and am not entirely shocked to find all the negative comments. In trying to practice diplomacy and not wanting to discount what he HAS done for me, I do want to voice my concerns, and they are plenty. A close friend of mine (a woman who seldom sheds tears)called me sobbing today after having seen him. This woman is well-read, knowledgeable and has the patience of Job. He roughly told her she doesn't know her body (at 34 yrs old), she should go back to school when she wasn't familiar with some medical terminology, he would run tests to humor the referring doctor, but felt this would be a waste of tax dollars. All this without having examined her. More was said but this sums it up. His bedside manner is a hit and miss at the best of times. Most women who seek his help are in dire straits and should not be expected to put up with this obvious abuse. Being advanced in age and obviously not kind to many, maybe he should consider retirement.

While I was in the hospital Dr Zeman was on call and sent me home twice while I was in labour with contractions 5 minutes apart because he thought I was in false labour. Before sending me home twice did rough examinations and was very rude. Went into labour Friday afternoon and daughter was delivered by emergency cesarian Monday afternoon because of no progression.
