Update: I filed a complaint about Kishi with the college last year. It has taken a long time, but it is now entering the last stage of the complaint process and a final decision will be made by the committee in April. Those of you with concerns - please call the college and register a formal complaint.

Worst doctor ever, was a patient for 33 years until he told me that "I can go get heroine on the street if I like", right in front of my husband. Funny that I'm allergic to opiods which would have been in my records and then dismissed me as a patient. Today my husband had an appointment, first time in a long time as most appointments were by phone during covid. They call 2 days before to tell him that he had 5 missed phone appointments and had to pay $35 dollars for each or he wouldn't see him, and then call an hour before to say he is dropping him as a patient at 80 years old. He has no empathy at all and does not care about his patients or the oath he took. I know there is a shortage of doctors but he will definitely not be missed.
I didn't want to give this any ratings but had to to post 🙄

I have been with Kishi for 25 years and have never missed an appointment. All of a sudden he is charging me for 2 appointments from during Covid. I never had those appointments so did not 'miss' them! However, unless I pay for them, he will not renew my prescriptions. The receptionist admitted she is just following orders and he is nearing retirement and is 'tired' but then said she couldn't talk to me about this and hung up. She knows its wrong. I am filing a complaint with the college . It would be helpful if others did so as well.

About a month ago I needed a dr appt with Dr Kishi I was notified by the most rudest receptionist I was told there were no shows from 2009 that is 13 years ago and said I owe them I wouldn’t get a appt she informed me about this I am a type 1 diabetic with kidney and heart desease so they have put me in a huge predicament no meds so I basically said to her and Kishi can get f@&$” I’ve called the British Columbia collage of physicians and they told me they can’t just charge for stuff cannot charge from 13 years it illegal but they don’t care they have to notify you first can’t just charge me a outrageous amount because he’s lost drs from his office and client other dr offices say he’s a joke and a pill pusher good luck if you still see him

Have the worst experience with this doctor and his very rude wife that works at reception! After charging us for printing off our covid papers from Fraser health, and one for missing a phone call, although it was okay when he forgot to phone us back LOL. Finally had to tell the receptionist to be quiet so I could talk, cuz she talks over top of you. So frustrating. After talking to my niece who works in a doctor's office, she said that they are not allowed to charge you anything except for a full Medical examination. They don't charge you for printing off papers. She said if they do that again that you can tell them they're going to be reported to the doctors and Physicians board. Oh and if you want to change doctors make sure that they don't charge you for transferring your medical records over cuz they're not theirs they're yours. They are not allowed to (charge. Fingers crossed we could find a new doctor!

We cannot believe this doctor's office, we were just advised that my husband missed an appointment back in 2010, yes that is correct 12 years ago!! The receptionist is so RUDE she could not provide the date of the missed appoint and told my husband that if he did not pay that the doctor would not call. My husband just finished the last year and half treatments for cancer and he was told only one reason per visit or telephone call. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, he has questions that need to be discussed with the doctor and prescription renewals and he is told this?? Is there any doctors who would do this to their patient? Ian Kishi and his office staff should be kind and caring not looking to line their pockets with money from patients who seek medical help. Shame, Shame on you both!

Ever since Dr Kishi's wife joined the office, they are penny pinching and nickel and diming everyone. You are only allowed to discuss one topic per appointment. His wife comes in and pre screens you before the dr comes in to make sure you only discuss one thing. I don't feel its any of her business why I'm there. She also forces her personal opinions on you.
They started charging for no shows a few years ago when she started there. I missed an appointment by complete accident, paid the fee on my next visit and they continue to tell me every 6months that I still owe, then they magically find record of my payment.
Today they tried telling me I have 2 unpaid no-shows from 2010 and 2014 that they want to collect on since he's been having so many no shows. This is the first I've heard of this. They never told me, nor did they have a sign up back then. They claimed that maybe the letters went to the wrong address. It's all a lie. They just need money so when through all their records for the past 15 years to try and make a few bucks.
