I have been a patient of Dr. Barone for well over 15 years and have found him to be a great doctor willing to spend the time with you to answer your questions and give a very understandable response. His bed side manner is the best I have ever seen and I have referred a number of patients to him that feel the same as I do.

I find Dr. Barone one of the best Doctor's in the area. I have been with him for over 10 years. I found him as a great listener, and responsive to medical conditions that I have. I recommend him highly. When in the hospital, he was attentive and helped get me back in good condition from low Potassium. Yes, he does testing, but you have the option of asking questions and deciding for yourself if you want these tests. When you have a family history , better safe than sorry. I know what It is like to watch someone in cardiac failure and it isn't pretty. I trust Dr. Barone and so does my husband.

They don't tell you till the last minute that the stress test you do IN THEIR OFFICE is actually an outpatient hospital procedure. Rather than costing $300 - $400 as most other cardiologists in the area charge, and covered 100% by Horizon as an in-office procedure, it is actually an outpatient procedure, subject to your deductible and costs almost $1,000 that YOU have to pay. Their wallet takes priority over your health. Check your insurance benefits before going here. Be warned!

I give this group high ratings. My other family members have been patients of his for several years and have had nothing but positive results. I just recently went to him and he was knowledgeable, kind, attentive, knew exactly what type of hypertension I had and was spot on for medication. Medical care is costly. But you have a voice as a patient. Use it. If your uncomfortable with what the doctor wants to do speak up. Don't be afraid. After all they are human too and can't give you good care unless you are honest with them. There is no such thing as a stupid question. If your questioning a doctors validity then your being smart.

He is a really nice guy but when my primary doctor sent me to him for a stress test, it took two visits and over $1,500. for a simple in office stress test! I'll shop around if I need to see another cardiologist.
