Probably the best Dr I've had. Takes time to talk to you after all the initial staff is finished with testing. Doesn't talk down to you and is knowledgeable and interested in addressing your problems and concerns. She has good references for specialties if needed. The office staff is generally professional and friendly and the wait times seem better than average. Last time, in fact, I believe I was brought back a couple minutes before my appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bartels for many years. Sometimes I feel that she doesn't hear my opinion about something if it is different from hers. Otherwise I like her well enough. Office staff has always been excellent in my case.

Dr Bartels is caring, takes the time to hear all my concerns and address them. There is one office member with a strong accent who seems to be in a hurry and often hustles through a phone call or office visit without addressing every issue, necessitating another call or a return visit.

I actually liked Dr. Stephanie very much. Unfortunately there is a MA on her staff who is completely incompetent. Her english is so bad, she shouldn't be on the phone. She screwed up my refills on my medications twice. I had to talk to the pharmacist to straighten out the first problem. I called the office and spoke with Kathy, the office supervisor and reported this to her. The next time I had blood pressure medication refilled, the script was wrong again. I again spoke with kathy, who hadn't kept a record of my problem from the previous time we talked. I had to go through the whole story again. When I spoke with the dr. about this, she said it was a back log with the medication and so I was given something else, that we know was ineffective the 1st time I tried it. The pharmacy said there was no such backlog at the time I was told. It was last year not last month. If that was the case, I should have been told that anyway. Poor communication & I won't be back because of the MA there.

Fantastic IM, PCP doc!!!! She takes time w/ you & listens/talks to you like you are a real person. You can tell she genuinely cares for her patients and doesn't give up until the problem is solved. If she doesn't know the answer, she'll keep looking & finding new people for you to see until it is figured out. She's really, really great & her staff is fantastic too! Most organized doctor's office I've ever seen. I could not be happier w/ Dr. Bartels. Glad I found her!!!
