I had my first visit with Dr. Paul on October 22 and I cannot believe how rude, arrogant and. Obnoxious he is. For the past two years I have been attending this clinic and have received the best of care until today . I am flbergasted at this man's bed side manner.

My first appointment with Dr. Paul was Oct 18/2018. I could not believe how rude he was to me. I had to ask him to repeat things a couple of times and came across as being annoyed about it. He sat at his computer with his back to me the whole time. He was upset with me because I had not brought my meds with me, although he was reading them on the computer as my family doctor had sent them ahead of time. Such a rude and ignorant man that I will not go back to.

I saw Dr. Paul last year for the second time - I have to say he was wonderful. The first time I found him rude and couldn't ask questions and even though I'm not one to be intimidated - surprisingly I was. The second time - I was ready to speak up and be rude back but didn't have to... he was so nice and helpful, answering all my questions - I did do a lot of research on the Mayo Clinic and the Kidney Foundation so I wrote questions ahead of time. I'm going to have to see him this year sometime and I'm actually looking forward to any more advice he has. I know if I do what he suggests (food choices, no swimming, hot tubs etc., I might be able to slow down this disease. So don't count him out. He's really smart and efficient and I am an obese person. He had two staff persons with him that were also quite helpful. 5 stars all the way.

I see in a lot of the comments below that Dr. Paul is rude and unhelpful to obese patients. This was NOT the case for me. I was well over 300 lbs when I first seen him 7 years ago. I was very ill and he was the only doctor that I was seeing at the time that DIDN'T blame it entirely on my obesity. I had a serious chronic kidney disease that no other doctor bothered to investigate further. If it wasn't for all the testing he did (and then prescribing me the proper medications) I would have been much sicker than I am today. He encouraged me to lose weight - telling me that weight loss would take a lot of stress off my kidneys and my blood pressure (and the rest of my body for that matter) and I didn't expect him not to mention my weight, as it was very high at the time. If you see him and you are obese and are having health issues that can be related to obesity - YES, he will mention it, as any good doctor would. I find him civil and to the point. He is a bit quirky but extremely knowledgeable. I am only in my 20s, and I have to see a nephrologist for the rest of my life. I am not looking forward to the day when Dr. Paul retires!

You would think that Dr. Paul would have more respect for an obese patient in view of the fact of his wife's obesity, who is also a physician.

Rude Rude Rude..he needs to let known he is not a pleasant doctor...I have seen him for years but no more .....i dont reccomend him ..never
