I’ve seen Alaa for years now for abnormal paps and always had a wonderful experience, he puts my mind at ease and uses humour as a distraction from some of the unpleasantness. He is always kind and welcoming of questions (even when he is running behind schedule) and explains things in ways that are easy to understand. I recently went through a miscarriage and then full term pregnancy with him and he was very empathetic. Could not recommend him enough!

This happened years ago but I had a terrible experience at this office when it came to getting my IUD. I never saw Dr. Awadalla at first, he always had a student who saw me. First student who put in the IUD was lovely, I ended up going back after a couple of months of bleeding they told me to hang in there and I did. Second time I went back after the IUD I was having spotting and it would happen so randomly that it was disrupting my life. The second student did the same thing told me to hang in there and I did. Finally, I had enough I wanted it taken out. The receptionist was exceptionally rude. She booked my appointment which I confirmed on the phone and the day I showed up she told me it was the wrong day and Dr. Awadalla was not there, but if I waited he may show up. I lucked out and he was there. He happened to have a student that day, and he asked me to tell my entire back story to her before he would see me. I did this and then he examined me. I begged him to remove the IUD which he did eventually. Then before I was able to get dressed again, he told me that his student wasn't in fact a med student but a family friend's daughter who was interested in med school and was shadowing him for the day. I feel like this would have been information at the start of the appointment that I would have liked to know. Overall my experience that day was fine and I accomplished what I wanted after jumping through many hoops. But the fact that his "student" wasn't a med student still haunts me to this day. I told her my full sexual history and she was confused about things I disclosed to her which after finding out that she wasn't a med student made a lot of sense and made me feel really uncomfortable that I told her this information.

I struggled for years with several Gynecologists and this Doctor was more than respectful, he was understanding, kind, listened to what I needed and wanted. Highly recommend going to see him.

I got PTSD from Dr Awadalla. I told him all of my symptoms and he put an IUD in me for 1.5 months I had horrible symptoms. I called the office telling them I needed to be seen since my symptoms are not normal and was told to wait 6 months and if I still had symptom to call to make an appt. my IUD eventually fell out. He then gave me other birth control to us and it still didn’t work. I could go on and on about my horrible experience about him. After getting a second opinion on my pelvic pain I found out I have endometriosis.

Felt rushed, not a good listener, didn't ask me questions about my concerns, left discouraged.

So kind and gentle. He is the best gynaecologist I have ever come across. He didnt mention my weight (I am over weight) as the source of my pain. EVERY other doctor blames weight for gynaecological problems and even refuse to look into any other source of pelvic pain. He on the other hand never once mentions weight and he tries his best to understand your situation.
