Dr Fay is helping me with a difficult problem. He is professional, gentle and above all he doesn't treat me like I am stupid. Dr Fay is the best doctor ive ever had. If you don't like him it's because you are trying to get something out of him he doesn't want to prescribe. He's not a "candy doctor" so leave him alone and stop hating on him cuz he wont prescribe meds YOU DONT NEED.

I have been a patient of Dr Fay since 1983. I have great faith in him. Waits were long before COVID, but new in-person appointments are timely.

I've been with Dr.Fay for 13 years now and he's one of the best doctors I've ever had.He always listens to my concerns and I feel genuinely cared for.While I may have to wait a bit when I show up for an appointment this is because he takes his time with everyone and wants (& has) so many people,including myself.I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I have been with Dr. Fay since early 2018 after moving here from a different province. My fiancé has him as her doctor and he was very promising to me when I saw him the first couple of times. That's when he starts changing all of my 30-day supply of meds to weekly, for no reason other than to do it. I asked him why he did that(it costs me more) and he gives some BS about it being unsafe. Dr. Fay is unsafe to go to as a doctor. He was reprimanded in 2019 by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. Recordkeeping is ATROCIOUS. The answering machine says 24 hr return time, ive called for a month straight with NO RESPONSE(NOT ONE!). He also told me he was going to refer me to a doctor about nerve pain in my hand and arm. I saw him about it first in Oct. 2020 and of course he totally forgot and didn't even remember or have notes of what I talked to him 8+ months ago. He seems to have a ton more issues now than Covid is here. I am grateful that he took me on as a patient, but I am almost completely unsatisfied with this philosopher/doctor. Bad combination. I wish him a happy retirement and that he doesn't go insane from all the complaints that are going to be filed against him.

I was in a car accident and no one could help me with my back injurie. Doctor Madison kept sending me everywhere and prescribing me drug's for pain. after 4 year's of that I was sent to Dr. Fay as they wanted to put me on morpheein. I was so messed up and they didn't know what to do. They put me of morpheein for 4 week's and I almost died and had to quit all the drug's they had me on. I only seen Dr. Fay twice I believe but it was clear that he was only going to kill me with prescription drug's. Just go look in his waiting room and you can see his victim's. He's a drug dealer treating people with drug's and killing them slowly. He belongs in jail. Dr. Fay is no more than a drug dealer with a license to kill. He has killed many people. He sucks as a human being. If killing you with prescription drug is all he can do. Head's up.

I have know dr Fay for many years now and he is an amazing dr . His is a methadone dr and his plate is full. there is only a handful of dr who will take the time to get to know you and your specific needs . And because there are so many addict and not enough dr to help ,you will need to be patient because each one of has a different issue . So there will alway be people who think that the world revolves around them and that they have no time to wait for a dr who they should be thankful to be able to see, . Wait times are the same in every hospital and in ever seen office and his is no different . I don’t want a dr who flings patients out the door and I have no problem once a month waiting my turn to see the dr who saved me from 30 yrs of addiction . Thank you dr Fay as well the staff is also amazing and kind . To me they are all like family and I’m so thankful to be where I am because of the work they do.

Came to Dr. Fay when my husband and I had no Dr. He was caring,helpful and very understanding. My husband has passed away but while he was sick and to this day if I need to see him or talk to him he is always there. His staff are all awesome and very helpful. If it were not for him my husband would not have had the time he did. Always will be grateful for Dr. Fay.

There is an older lady receptionist who is extremely rude. She should not be in a position such as this. She was so rude to my sister in law the last time she was there that my sister in law refuses to go back and is now actively seeking a new doctor. Extremely long wait times and totally unprofessional practice.

I've known him a very long time as a patient and his personality is just as complicated as the rest of us.
The issue is how Dr Fay's practice evolved from chronic pain to one of addiction treatment and monitoring. This is where the time goes ... remember there's no market out there and some doctors are so frustrated that patient care not only suffers but created a dangerous situation for every nova Scotia. Your doctor IS not your friend so try to avoid political etc conversations. If he is taking too much chit chat time gently steer the conversation back to the reason you came to see Dr Fay. Book for around the first appointment of the day well in advance to avoid a long wait. Hope this helps ...
