Dr. Ed Mayo Is One Doctor I Have Complete Respect For. I Love The Honesty That Most People Seem Offended By. Being Honest...Blunt Honesty.... Is Very Important In Health Care. A Patient Needs To Hear The Facts & Truth. "Tip-Toeing" Not To Offend Someone When "Tip-Toeing" Can Cost Someones Health Would Not Be Appropriate. Put It This Way... The Truth Hurts. And When It Comes To Everyone's Health, We Need The Truth, Even If Is Isn't Want We Want To Hear. I Felt Respected By Being Given The Blunt Truth. I Never Felt Insulted Because I Knew How To Mentally Process That He Was Helping Me.

Dr. Ed Mayo Discovered The Tumor My Father Had On His Pancreas. Dr. Ed Mayo Saved My Father's Life By Discovering That.

Plus, Anyone Willing To Let Another Person To Preform A Vasectomy, That Is A Lot Of Trust For Someone To Put In Another. Trust Was Well Earned.

my wrist was broken and he was trying to say it was fully healed after being in a bandage for less then a week, i told him it still hurt and i couldn’t move it then asked him to put it in a cast because the doctor i seem before him told me to go buy one. he then basically slammed my hand on the table, and savagely began wrapping my hand and wrist, hurting me A LOT. such an a$$hole

Contact me, my name is Hannah Holloway, this doctor needs to leave., I have a Facebook post made and contacted all authorities I could think of and we need justice. I went in pregnant in my first trimester in pain with my collar bones and he took a blood test and sent me home. He called and told me we lost our baby. Zero sympathy what so ever. He told us to come back and speak with a sock worker who was very sweet, I asked him to do an ultrasound because I think I may have been further along because I had a huge bump and maybe when we found out my levels were already decreasing he rudely told me he will not order an ultrasound unless it's a emergency I cried and said it is what if there's a dead 3 or 4 month old baby in me and he said without pelvic pain or bleeding it's not a emergency I told him my aunt is a RN who told me to get the ultrasound because I may need a d and c and he said I don't care who your aunt is I'm not doctor and sent me out the door with suicide and mental health pamphlets, I WAS TERRIFIED TO SLEEP,
that night at my post on Facebook started to go viral eastern health called and got me a ultrasound RIGHT AWAY, TO FIND OUT I HAVE A CYST WHICH IS CAUSING THE EXTREME BLOATING AND THIS MORNING WE TRAGICALLY LOST OUR BABY AT HOME 😭

The most arrogant doctor I've ever experienced. He is uncaring, and rude and does not know how to care for sick patients. I would not recommend. Horrible doctor, even worst person.

Wonderful with children. Actually made my very ill toddler smile. She is very nervous around strange people and it was her first time meeting him, she instantly felt at ease.

I had to visit Dr. Mayo once for a rash that I had on my leg. He prescribed an "itch cream", which made the rash worse. I went back to him the next week, only to be prescribed another "itch cream". Again, this done nothing for my rash. It continued to spead all over my body. I went back to him for the THRID time, only for him to "diagnose" me with Scabies. This was completely ridiculous, as no one else in my house had the same rash. But of course, I tried the treatment, only for it to fail miserably. Feeling helpless, I went to the local Hospital to get rid of this unbearable rash. I brought along all of the prescriptions that Dr. Mayo gave me. When I showed the doctor at the Hospital what I had been prescribed, the doctor laughed and gave me a steriod cream. Guess what? It worked! With NO THANKS to Dr. Mayo! Absolutely one of the most useless doctors on the Burin Peninsula!!!

I think this Doctor should be retired!!! I took my father to him in the ER with signs of stroke. BECAUSE OF HIS HISTORY WITH HAVING PANIC ATTACKS DR MAYO DISMISSED HIM, ASKED HIM IF HE DID STREET DRUGS,DIDN'T SO MUCH AS ODER BLOOD WORK!!!!!!!!!!!! He went to family doctor,sent for CT and later that day he and his family found out he had a brain tumor. Less than three months later and brain surgery he died with stage 4 GBM brain tumor. This doctor should realize that there are patients that come into the ER that have serious problems. Not everyone who needs a Doctor is looking for drugs/note for work/ or an afternoon outing. I sure do hope he reads his comments on here!

I was 15 years old and in hospital for depression....his words to me were you need to get over yourself, you are a burden to society, you need to stop acting crazy....I will never ever ever ever go to him ever! I can still remember that his comments on my already fragile mind were very hurtful and set me back a lot. I got a good Dr after that and was out of the hospital and depression free in no time, NO thanks to Mayo....
