Before Dr. Del Maestro left to Quebec he was my Neurosurgeon. Considering i'm only 16 now, I can't say I remember him very well but I know that he's part of the reason I'm alive today and I can't thank him enough for that, I was born with hydrocephalus, which was diagnosed when I was still in my mom. My first shunt was placed at 2 weeks old and I had many surgeries during my first year due to malfunctions, blockages, and infection. just before my first birthday, he placed a second shunt. I'd been fine from then to now, and I've had many problems this past year, and i'm dealing with people that don't believe anything i'm saying. This is one of those times when I wish Dr. Del Maestro was still working in paediatric neurosurgery here :(

In 1993, Dr. Del Maestro, then in London, ON, saved my life. After being told I had a pea-sized tumour at 13, Del Maestro and his team always made me feel comfortable. He has a way about him unlike any Dr. I had ever met. Even explaining to me, what was wrong and what needed to be done, I always felt safe in his care. Even my mother to this day, says there was something almost angelic about this man. Thank you for giving me so much! Sincerely, Blaise Turnbull

Dr. Del Maestro has the hands of an angel! My mother found out that she had a planum sphenoidale meningioma that was growing for ~10-20 years if not more according to Dr. Del Maestro. She was diagnosed wtih this tumor at the beginning of March and operated on April 19. My mother saw many doctors in a month and a half from neuro-opthamologits to radiation oncologits. But it was Dr. Del Maestro that put my mother and my family at ease with the only option left which was surgery. Her only symptom during this time was vision problems and always feeling cold. All this to say that I was impressed with Dr. Del Maestro. He is such a humble man and my family and I can never repay him for what he's done for us!
