I know Dr Yoon was an excellent doctor, he took great care of me for several years, He told me I didn't need him as much as some other patients. He turned me over to one of the other doctors in his office. I was very unhappy about his decision. He was very reassuring that if I needed him, he would be readily available. I was turned over to doctor Patel. First year being her patient wasn't anything but a yearly check up. She had the personality of an unpainted wall but excepted it as Dr Yoon in all glory didn't have much of a personality either. He was doing his job, I was seeing him as I felt he was the best in this area. Third year with Dr Patel I came back after my yearly exam, six months early. I told her I had been testing my eyes daily with the grid test. I started to see less and less of the grid with my right eye. Well she was very abrasive, and arrogant with me after checking my eye telling me there was absolutely no change in my eyes site !! I told her I'm sorry but your wrong it's really bothering me etc!! She dismissed me and told me she would see me next year..I was fine! Six months later I called the office to make another appointment as my eye was getting worse. I asked the staff to schedule me with doctor Yoon. I told he's not your doctor anymore. I then went on to explain what happened the last visit with Dr Patel. I was uncomfortable with her and my eye was getting worse...now I was having lots of pressure and pain, the vision was horrible. Made me and appointment with another Doctor. another Doctor wing >?? lady who had an obvious problem communicating in English . She checked me and did several test ....she came back and said you have to go someplace else we can't help you ???what ?? You have a Pucker ( wrinkle) in your eye HUH?? what the hell is that. she escorted me to the otter office. I said I want to see Dr Yoon ...he is to busy I was told several time. I need to know what the problem is. You have a macular issue and need to see a specialist...I wanted to make and appointment the snotty girl at the front desk said it will be at least a year !!! OMG All because Dr magnificent was to busy to see a patient he PROMISED HE WOULD BE THERE FOR THEM. ...the story goes on and on ..... today I can't drive among other things .....I;m thinking of seeing an Attorney in Chicago ...all of this happened because of inflated egos He could have taken a few minute to talk to me and explain it to me. I had great respect for this Doctor sadly he has none for his patients ......... my advise don't go there it;s not worth the risk....

My 103 year old Grandmother and my Father sees Dr. Yoon. They each have had surgery on both eyes. When it comes to the complexity of the eye, Dr Yoon is who I want my family to see. By far the most experienced and talented in the region. Thank you for helping my family.

There is no question Dr. Yoon is extremely knowledgeable. He was very thorough during my appointment. However, I did not appreciate his condescending attitude and oversized ego. He needs a good class in humility. The front desk staff was not friendly nor professional as they carried on their private conversations. The technicians that assist Dr. Yoon were friendly but on edge as he is extremely demanding of them.

Dr.Yoon, Dr. Thakrar and their entire staff made the whole surgery process easy and comfortable. I have worn glasses my entire life, but since my cataract surgery I can get by with just reading glasses. I am thrilled!
