Dr. Bracken did my bowel resection when I was 20. I was terrified about the prospect of having an ileostomy bag, Thankfully, he was able to attach both ends and no bag was needed. He and the staff at SBH made my hospital stay a positive experience and is why I now work in medicine.

He explained the entire colonoscopy procedure, and the issues he had with my colonoscopy, in detail so that it was understandable, and he answered all questions honestly and directly. A wonderful doctor!

Dr Bracken inserted my peritoneal catheter and did an outstanding job. I had no pain, only two regular strength Tylenol the day of surgery and no bleeding after surgery. He explained the procedures very thoughtfully and thoroughly and walked through the procedure with his team before proceeding. Highly recommend Dr. Bracken

I have had 2 bowel surgeries done by Dr Bracken. I ended up being allergic to the staples. He called me to his office immediately and corrected the problem bringing great pain relief. Follow up visits have be en on time, all questions answered with intelligence and compassion. I highly recommend this physician.

I was diagnosed with a severe bowl obstruction and had emergency surgery on Valentine's day 2014. I had never met Dr. Bracken before and my husband asked that after my surgery (which was 6 hours) was complete, if Dr. Bracken could please phone him. Dr. Bracken called my husband and explained the surgery, what they did and everything. My husband was very impressed. After finally meeting Dr. Bracken with follow-up visits, I could not have been luckier to have such a fantastic surgeon and what a nice considerate man to deal with. I would strongly recommend this doctor.

I had bowel surgery three years ago. Dr. Bracken put me at ease about the whole situation.(as much as anyone can be at ease when facing major surgery. He explained everything to me, and came to see me after on the ward. I also had a colonoscopy done by him since, and suffered almost no gas pains afterward. YES! I would certainly recomend him.

Dr. Bracken is a fantastic Dr. I suffered for 7 years before I saw him for my heartburn. He performed surgery and now my heartburn is totally gone. He was patient, explained everything to me, encouraged me to ask questions and made me feel totally at ease. He is not in it for the money as there were other patients in the waiting room who were unhappy because he wouldn't operate on them as their issues could be treated other ways. He is one of the best Doctors I have ever seen, knowledgeable, patiently explains everything in detail, understanding and kind.
