I have a complicated medical history, but during each visit she just wants me to talk about one thing. They are interrelated! I prefer to be seen as a whole person, not a collection of faulty parts. She also has not listened as well as I would like, has dismissed my ideas, not ordered tests I felt would have helped narrow down a diagnosis, and has not followed up with tests she wanted me to get. Dr. Shanbour is a very nice, peaceful person, but I do get the feeling that she is frusterated by any diagnoisis that isn't immediatly obviouse. It ends up making me feel like she thinks I am making it up! In the meantime, I'm still sick and in pain.
