I wanted to find a female, Black American doctor in my area and when I found Dr. Anthony, I was super excited. I learned that I was pregnant after 10 years of trying. At my appointment, I waited about 20 minutes for Dr. Anthony to finally come into the room. I was also excited that she was from my hometown. Anyway, she suggested I get an ultrasound to see how far along the pregnancy was. When we learned it was a miscarriage, she held my hand and was very comforting. A week later she asked if I wanted to have the procedure done or pass it naturally. When I told her I wanted to pass naturally, she did not offer ANY information on what I should experience, what the possible risks were etc. I ended up hemmorhaging and rushed to the hospital for the d&c.

I have been to doctor Anthony 3 times. She was polite, but seemed to be a bit disconnected every time I went.

I love the entire team at Suburban women specialist. I found them by accident and am truly happy I did. Dr. Anthony takes her time and thinks thru every step of whatever medical issue may arise. I agree with another review that she seems aloof at first, but get to know her and she gets to know you, her bedside manner is one of a kind. She can even talk sports with my husband! Her team has been with me thru the loss of my twins and the birth of my beautiful daughter. My family is relocating up north very soon but I told my husband I still want Dr. Anthony to deliver our next child. I highly recommend Dr. Anthony.

Doctor Anthony delivered my first child and I plan to see her again for the second. It was a difficult delivery and she was there the whole time helping me through. She can come across rather aloof but once you get to know her she is awesome.

Wow. I went in to get a yearly exam and pregnancy test. I am seriously so disappointed. Please Ladies, don't waste your time or money here. I told the nurse that I wanted a blood pregnancy test and she said "what's with everyone wanting to be pregnant" like she was annoyed that I asked. Can you believe that? I'm a married woman and I don't feel like I have to answer to that. Then the doctor came in and didn't offer any preconception info, etc. She scrapped my cervix so much it bled and I could see the blood on her fingers! She didn't let me do a blood test, she told me to do a urine test. Why she wouldn't do that for me, I'll never know. Then she left me there in the room for 15 min. I finally came out and pulled someone aside to asked them if I could do the urine test. Awful and humilating. So unprofessional and disappointing. I will never go back there.

She delivered my second child and I was completely blown away by how compassionate and caring she was during delivery - she stayed in the delivery room the entire time and kept me informed EVERY step of the way. Although both my husband and mother were with me, she even let me squeeze her hand during contractions while she helped talk me thru them. This was a much more humane and pleasant (if that's possible during birth) experience compared to the birth of my first son where I only saw the doctor during the last 2 minutes of delivery. If I had had a girl that day, I would have named her Betty - she was that kind, not to mention good at delivering babies.

Had a bad experience with Dr. Anthony. I went in for my 1st appt at 8wks pregnant, with my first pregnancy.I noticed some bleeding the nite before, and informed her of this. She said' you're having a misscarriage then". While doing an exam to check the problem, she said "look at all this blood!" and actually showed it to me!, and then said you had a miscarriage, I can scrap it out, or just let it pass on its on. I requested a vagional ultrasound thru tech and it showed that I was Pregnant, just having what I found out was implantation bleeding, not a misscarriage. She then told me not to get my hopes up because that could change anytime. She also said if I did misscarry to be sure to call the office to cancel my next appt. I never returned. Very scary experience
