My partner has had a disabling back injury and MS for over 30 years, and has been Dr. Pniak's patient for over 20. She has been a most incredible source of support to him, from both a clinical and a personal perspective. She is brilliant, diligent, highly effective and thorough, caring and very patient. She takes the time to treat him from an overall point of view, does not rush him during appointments , (as he has some difficulty communicating at times), orders tests and follows up with timely attention, and is kind and approachable with a genuine warmth and sense of humor. She understands the overall physical and personal effects of long term MS on the patient, and also on household family members of patient, and offers support and suggestions to better our quality of life. She also encourages and applauds his efforts to remain as healthy as possible, and our efforts to cope as a couple, in addition to showing a genuinely caring support for him, the patient, the most important person in this equation. He trusts her and respects her and he is stronger for having her as his Neurologist. He is beside me as this is typed on his behalf, so even though this review is in the "second person " format, these are his thoughts, opinions, and feelings.

I have been going to Dr.Pniak for some time and she is a excellent . She has a caring manner and really lets you ask the questions that are bothering you and makes you feel like you are not only her patient but a friend you can confide in, and know that whatever you tell her she will give the answers that shows she cares.

I'm very fortunate to have the best MS Neurologist in Fredericton, she knows her stuff. She sent me for multiple MRI's, lumbar puncture, potential evoke tests and bloodwork to determine my diagnosis. She is very thorough, and is able to get tests ordered and completed very quickly. Dr. Pniak explains everything in terms I can understand. She sets aside about 45 mins. to an hour for an appointment. I never feel rushed and she has plenty of time to answer any questions I have. She is to the point and might come across as a bit abrupt but I have the feeling that she truly cares about me. She helps me keep things in perspective.
Agree with some other reviews that the girls behind the glass could smile once in a while. If someone is going to see a Neurologist they are probably under a great deal of stress already. A friendly hello and smile goes a long way❤️

Dr. Pinak is the one of the best doctors I have had. She’s very thorough, helpful and actually listens. Her staff who answer her phones could be a little nicer…

For a neurologist sge spends a lot of time sitting on the fence per se - shouldnt she be at a point of identifyong direct issues in MRI's. She is frigid, rigid god-complex and dismisses real issues as a symptomatic issue only. See you next year she says - thats what its about - butt in seats to get overpaid for doing nothing but guesswork. She should call the Weather, that way she can say its raining, cloudy and sunny all in the same breath. Get to know your own health and even get scans of all your brain, body and be your own health advisor.

Most helpful, kind, compassionate neurologist I have had to date. & she is my 4th, as I have moved several times.

The first three were very dismissive. Which I found to be quite troubling as my MRIs clearly showed extensive brain deterioration.

Dr. Pniak's respectful manner and professionalism was a breath of fresh air.

After waiting over 5 months had an appointment with DR Pniak, she was very cold, talked about her 4-month vacation coming up, which at this time I do not care, I have been in pain 24/7 balance issues, fatigue so bad I feel like I weigh 500lbs, this Dr does not give a ra, this is so unexeptable she wanted to up my dosage of my pregabalin after I told her the last dosage was too high I had them lower it. She asks about my walking pole which I use to help with balance walking so I do not feel, What kind of Dr question their patient about this..WTLF She talked order a spinal tap, I called this week to see when I go, while she is gone on that 4-month vacation & did not order it., I met a lady that daughter was a patient of this Dr & guess what she died. Not only does this city have the worst Health Care, but the city is also on Meth..I will report this to the media not funny anymore,

She is kind and very thorough. She takes her time to speak to you like an actual human. She went out of her way to help me and investigate my issues. Her receptionist on the other hand is rude and blunt and dismissive.
