I'm 30 years old and have suffered with progressive nerve pain that started in right groin during 6th month of pregnancy 5 years ago. During that time, I saw dozens of orthopedic, pain management, and neurological physicians. They all had different diagnosis' and all advised me that the pain going down my leg is something I would have to live with and I shouldn't have anymore children. After discovering the tarlov cysts on an MRI, we researched and found Dr. Shaya. He personally responded to my emails almost immediately and we spoke several times on the phone. He made it to where we would only have to travel to see him one time for the surgery (if we felt comfortable after the appointment). After 5 years of unrelenting nerve pain, I woke up from surgery with the leg pain completely gone. Dr. Shaya also said he sees no reason we can't have another child. He changed our lives and we are forever grateful for his kind but exquisite expertise. As well as eagerness to help. Thank you, Dr. Shaya!

Dr. Mark Shaya is simply the best doctor you can ever see and get treated by. He is beyond spectacular. He excels in every aspect of being an incredibly competent doctor from his knowledge and expertise, bedside manner and attitude, to his drive to stay up to date on medical innovation. Dr. Shaya is truly one of a kind and I have never felt more comfortable and confident in anyone else’s care besides his. Positive life changing doctor right here. I hope he lives the longest life possible so he can continue advancing the field of medicine.

It's been 1 year and a half that I was getting treatment with Dr Shaya and I thank God that I came in contact with him.
I have a herniated disc between L5 and S1 that was causing a severe pain. Even sneezing hurt back then. He told me that I would probably need surgery but that he wanted to try laser and traction therapies first.
I went to all the appointments scheduled and I improved I would say 95 to 100 %. As I mentioned above, a year has passed and I think it is enough time to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment. It was awesome!!!
Thank you very much, Dr Shaya!

Incredible Doctor! His level of knowledge and expertise is second to none! Highly recommend him over anybody in the field to be honest. Also, it is very easy to make an appointment with him unlike some other doctors. Just call his office.

Dr. Shaya was very responsive when I contacted him, as a new patient, with terrible pain in my lower leg, caused by problems in my lower spine. He understood my urgent need for an appointment to review my CT scan results from a recent trip to the Emergency Room of the nearby Hospital. He was tech-savvy and set up a Zoom call two days later, after I obtained a CD copy of the images.
During our first appointment, we reviewed the images on my PC from separate locations which was a great benefit, not forcing me to travel. With experience he instantly identified a bulging disc and bone-to-bone contact of my L4-L5 vertebrae. He explained he could perform arthroscopic surgery but my condition could be remedied by daily physical therapy in my home using an inversion table and back brace. I was pleased he did not push for surgery as some other doctors may have done.
In summary, I view Dr. Shaya as highly experienced with spine problems, very responsive and easy to communicate with.

By happenstance (and very fortunately for me), a benign tumor ws found on my right auditory nerve before it had a chance to grow and cause serious issues . I researched and was able to find Dr. Shaya . He quickly prescribed a course of treatment to inhibit the growth of the tumor. Follow-ups with him have proven him to be both knowledgeable and experienced. At a time when my thoughts were going all over the board, he has provided a stable and calm background for me to feel comfortable about the future. Many thanks to Dr. Shaya and his staff. Good luck to them in this time of craziness.

Several years ago I needed risky neck surgery and in an abundance of caution I made appointments with five neurosurgeons from what are considered to be leading medical centers in south Florida. As soon as I met Dr. Shaya and discussed my case with him, I knew he was the one to use without any hesitation. The surgery was a complete success. I had always had severe migraine headaches, and those are no more since the surgery. I continue to see Dr. Shaya for routine follow ups and traction treatments. Could not be more pleased at age 76 to have the peace of mind that I have no more pain, no headaches, and complete confidence in my continued care with Dr. Shaya.

Dr. Shaya and his team are remarkable! I have been seeing Dr. Shaya since 2016 for LSpine herniation and he has always been so professional, courteous and informative. I really appreciated his conservative approach, the treatment options that he recommended and feel that he genuinely cares for his patients' well being.

Last month I injured myself and had to get a injection with him at North Shore Hospital. Considering all the pain I was in, the experience was extremely pleasant from start to finish. I work in healthcare quality and highly recommend Dr. Mark Shaya as he is not only extremely competent in his work but is also creative in his approach and asks the questions needed to better access the patient as a whole around their area of concern. I trust his abilities 100%.

Also, the office is centrally located and easy to get to in Coral Gables with plenty of parking spaces and amenities for patients (concierge-like services to ALL patients). I am grateful to Dr. Shaya and his staff for being so helpful and proactive with my treatment. Thank you Paula and Karla for always scheduling so promptly, assisting with clearances and for always being pleasant to speak to. Thank you Michael for making a scary financial situation easier and for always following up with me to see how I am feeling.

Thank you NIF!!

Dr. Shaya and his staff are great! I had back pain problems a year ago and it took me 3 months to start to get better. This time I went to see Dr. Shaya and in 10 days I am feeling much better. I really recommend it.
