In 2019 Dr Taylor preformed the surgery to remove a very large SCC from my left ear. He also at the same time did the reconstructive surgery to rebuild my ear using a narrow strip of skin from my face adjacent to my left ear. It healed well and now three years on no one ever notices or would believe I had an SCC (2.5 x 1.5 cm) removed. No scarring or any other evidence remains. I was 70 years old when the procedure was performed. An excellent job by a skilled surgeon.

Had skin cancer removed above my eye. Dr. Taylor and the resident who performed the procedure were excellent and very personable. Sorry, can not spell the last name of the resident. Sounds like Foreigner.

Dr. Taylor performed a Ryhnoseptiplasty on me and not only did it turn out perfect but I had zero brusing after 6 days. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Breathing and looking better!

My father had surgery to remove cancer from his lip. The section of his lip sewn together would not stop bleeding and within a few days the sutures let go causing his lip to split back open. His assistant, who performed the procedure, admitted to not using a stronger suture. Dr. Taylor should have supervised better and picked up on this mistake. Several months have passed and no one from Dr. Taylor’s office has called to follow up or offered to fix my fathers lip. My father has been suffering in pain and finds it hard to eat or drink. His lip appears to be healed but has left him with a horrible, scarred and deformed lip. This is truly disgraceful and Dr. Taylor should be ashamed to say that is his work.

Dr. Mark Taylor and staff are excellent to deal with! He has performed two rhinoplasty operations so far, to correct breathing issues associated with a cleft palate birth defect.
He is an extremely talented surgeon, and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Taylor and his staff have went above and beyond for me. I had a septorhinoplasty performed 1 month ago and my experience has been nothing short of amazing. I will admit when I read the bad revoews someone else has wrotten about him I almost second guessed going through with it and I voiced my concerns to his secretary and within an hour Dr Taylor personally called me to ease my worries and go over my procedure woth me again. I remembered when I met with him and how good I felt with him performing this complicated surgery. As for my results, I am beyond satisified and so far am only 1 month post op..there is plently of healing to go yet but every day I love it even a little more. He has exceeded all my expectations of what I wanted and I finally feel like my nose is the one that belongs on my face.
I live in a different province and as I am unable to come in for check ups Dr. Taylor and Cathy email me to check in on things and are always so fast at replying to any questions I may have.
I am so grateful to them both for making this such a great experience for me and I highly reccomend him for rhinoplasty surgery. Ive been told many times from many people who have seen his work that he is the best in Atlantic Canada and I 100% believe it. Dont let bad reviews throw you off as it almost did for me because I am so happy that I trusted my own judgement and Dr. Taylor!

It appears I'm not the only one dealing with a bad plastic surgery experience with Dr. Taylor. I wish I had seen some of these bad reviews before my surgery. Wish I had done more research. I put all my trust in this Doctor, and I can't believe what an awful mistake I made. Results are awful. I see now he's not even listed on the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Is he even legally allowed to be doing plastic surgery? That's what I want to know now. I will be filing a complaint to Nova Scotia Health Authority, and getting legal advice, cause it's nothing short of malpractice in my opinion... I also see he has a second ratemds profile with another horrible experience.... I pray some people will read this and help them avoid my mistake.

Dr. Mark Taylor goes above and beyond in every aspect. He is realistic, extremely knowledgeable, experienced and makes you feel at ease every step of the way. I could not be happier with my results and his professionalism. We are so fortunate to have such a skilled and qualified surgeon in Halifax who not only cares about appearance but also the function of the nose!

Poor suturing in one place resulted in visibly bad scarring; bit moody when asked about current, peer-reviewed info; did not preserve bilateral symmetry. Did he fix my issue? Yes. Did he fix it as well as expected from a qualified plastic surgeon? No.
