Biography

Dr. Duarte, completed a distinguished two-year full-time post doctoral fellowship training program in oral and maxillofacial implant dentistry at University of Miami, School of Medicine, Division or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Afterwards, Dr. Duarte furthered her studies by completing an additional two years of full-time post-graduate advanced training in general dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Dentistry, Chicago, Illinois. She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and Fellow in Dental Implantology. Dr. Duarte practices the full scope of general dentistry, implant dentistry, and periodontics and offers comprehensive dental anesthesiology and IV sedation services as part of her private practice. Dr. Duarte is native of Bogota, Colombia receiving her University of Dental School degree at Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia. Dr. Duarte further went on to acquire her post-graduate residency specialization training certificate in periodontics at Javeriana University as well, totaling seven years. She is bilingual fluent in English and Spanish, has published and co-authored several international research articles, spoken internationally as well as received multiple honors, accolades, and research recognition awards over the course of the years. Dr. Duarte has been happily married for over 12 years and a mother of two children, residing in south Florida.
