I was referred to Dr. Brodie when I was pregnant for the 1st time. First few visits I felt very rushed and he did not take the time to address my small questions. Every appt I waited at least an hour to get in, even when my appt is at 9am! Unexceptable. The front staff do not seem to care about patients, they dictate when you can get in and if stuff gets done for you. One lady told me rudley there was no way i'd get an ultrasound (which dr brodie wanted ASAP) before she'd even picked up the phone! Very unfriendly, except Esther, she was great. Unfortunetly, I miscarried at 14 weeks and he was very compassionate and concerned. I couldnt make my appt due to the weather and he called me on his lunch hour to give me instructions. My follow ups since my miscarriage have been hard to schedule due to him being so busy, the office staff are very unacommadating. Overall I liked Dr. Brodie but would prefer a midwife when I get pregnant again, since I would rather not deal with the office staff.

There are just too many things I could go on about; His rude bedside manor, poor judgement, arrogance, lack of empathy or understanding. I found another Dr. not soon enough.

I think Dr. Brodie is fantastic. We recently moved here from the coast and he is one of the friendliest, most concerned and sincere doctors I have seen. The new staff however, I am NOT impressed with. I have been to the new office twice and both times, important faxes did NOT make it to their destination. One to Childrens Hospital for my 4 month old's heart issues, and now, two months later, a fax intended for a pediatric referral that made its way to an EYE SURGEON instead! I am not impressed. I can be patient, but I used to work at a 4 doctor office and I can't beleive all the 'glitches' that are being worked out. I had to call Childrens Hospital myself and book my own appointment, and I had to call Dr. Brodies' office to tell them that my pediatric referral still hadnt been made. As a patient, its not my job to do the office work, and especially when an infant is involved, it is inexcusable.

If people can get past the fact that this office is newly setup with lots of new staff, they are really GREAT! They are trying 2 get many new things set up/doctors set up/new patients set up + they are doing an incredible task of a very complicated undertaking. They have added the downstairs clinic which is useful if it is hard 2 get an appointment with your Dr by telling folks when specific docs are down there. What they have done is a trememdous juggling job + until all the little glitches are worked out we should be gracious enought 2 have patience with them. Most of us are not feeling well and could really benefit from the down time we can have while we wait. When I do get to see Dr. Brodie, he is always cheeful, not rushing me + answers all my questions. He even talks about my private life 2 make sure that outside stressors are not causing some of my symptoms. He is awesome, genuinely caring for my family + our needs + I find other dr.s much the same. Give them x 2 adjust.

We were recently transferred to Dr. Brodie as our family doctor retired. Right from the start we learned the Staff at Stevenson Medical are rude and uncaring individuals unless we keep getting the same one on the phone when we call. We were also very dissapointed with the service we received. The two appointments my wife has had have been rushed, (one was less than five minutes and then he left) and Dr. Brodie brushed off my wifes second miscarriage like it happens everyday. Maybe he sees it more often, but for us it is emotional and dissapointing.

good doctor - the problem is his clerical staff -very rude and assume they run the place and decide when you get in! - trying to get an appointment through his staff/receptionists is a challenge and so depressing

I was refurred to Dr Brodie when I became pregnant with my son in 2004.I lived in Boston Bar at the time. When I had my appointment with Dr Brodie I felt comfortable right away.I found he was a very caring and knowledgable gentleman. After my son was born I unfortunatly had to go back to my doc.Even after time we had met up and he remembered myself and my husband and we had a quick chat.I was amazed he had remebered. So now I have moved to Chilliwack and I am hoping he will be able to take on myself and family as our doctor.I know he is very busy but I feel he would be the right doctor for us and I know I only had him for a short period of time but I hope that will be enough for our family to be in his care for years to come.

I only saw Dr. Brodie once and I WISH he could take more patients because we thought he was great! One of the best doctors i've ever met.
