I came in for a referral for some acne medication. First, he told me he wasn’t even sure why I was there because he’s a surgeon. Then told me I “look like I have PCOS”. What does that mean? I have a puffy face, am overweight, and have acne? I don’t know what I was supposed to make of that. I just met the guy, that’s not a kind thing to say. The rest of the appointment was spent listening to him talking to his recording device, not even glancing up at me. I left his office feeling more confused than I came in.

Only had to wait 5 minutes, very knowledgeable made me laugh a couple times In general my dermatologist till he retires!

Terrible experience. Absolutely useless and frankly incorrect in his diagnosis and recommendations.

Did not listen and shut down any of the research/suspicions I already had. Talked into his recorder instead of to the people in the room. Looked at the skin for 2 seconds and determined blood flow issue despite having blood flow already checked. Recommended vasodilators but capillaries are permanently dilated... Asked me what my career was so he could gauge if I knew how to Google the rest of the diagnosis.
Recommended a different specialist when I had no symptoms suggesting going that route.

I add to the people saying don't believe positive reviews. This guy was over the top there again and condescending. I won't even call it mansplaining, more like dicksplaining. He went into a condescending analogy about how he wouldn't be able to give me a mortgage without a credit check, so how can he treat me without my records? He also spent time complaining about how he would like the luxury to retire and went on to bash the medical system. I would actually rather just deal with a potential melanoma then going back to this guy. His receptionist is nice though.

Excellence, sensitivity, professionalism! Held his clinic on a Saturday. And that's an A++ in my view. I read all these reviews in advance of my visit. I experienced only positives with Dr. Hurst after a reasonable 3 month wait by referral of an immunologist. He is informative not only differential diagnosis but how best to prepare for any medical encounter. Blessed to be his patient today

My visit to Dr. Hurst was a very good experience. He was very friendly and showed concern for my problem. He was easy to understand and listened to what I was telling him. He was very knowledgeable.

Took biopsy, wrote diagnosis on his business card , gave it to me and told me to google it, that there was no sense talking about it until he knows for sure what it is. He didn’t allow me to ask him any questions and didn’t listen when I spoke. Receptionist assisted with biopsy, and while doing so, they were talking about another patient. I was very shocked and disappointed when I left his office.

I would strongly never recommend Dr. Hurst to anyone. He is rude, ignorant and belittling and made me feel even worse about my problem. All he was worried about was getting me out of his office as he told me he was missing his lunch. He gave me a referral letter but did not explain it or would not let me ask him any questions. He told me I should read it myself and start googling. He is a disgrace to his profession to treat people like this.

Dr Hurst is very kind and knowledgeable, his staff were also amazing and helpful, I went there for dry skin and he was so helpful, thank you Dr. Hurst, highly recommended!
