worst doctor in history
the office says if you are late 20 minutes we have to rebook yet he makes his patients wait over an hour and then makes an excuse he's not feeling well.

I would love to leave an informative review, but after 10 days of trying I have yet to be able to speak to anyone about booking an appointment, stopped by the office twice to find locked doors, phones are auto answered and messages are not taken, only future open times which up to this point are all false, never open

I’ve never rated a doctor before and have a lot of respect for the profession. However, Dr. J. West is the most unprofessional and ignorant doctor I have ever known. I moved to a new community and he was the only one accepting new patients. Every time I went I waitied at least 2 hours. This was especially hard when I had to take time off work or find childcare.
He also told me that to make my husband want me more, I should dress or behave a certain way in the bedroom, when I was going through some marital issues. I was so taken aback by this and was speechless. He also told me on various occasions that I needed to lose weight. And when I was dealing with mental health issues made me feel like it was my fault. As soon as I could find another doctor I left.
I’m appalled this man has a license to practice. He is so chauvinistic and arrogant. I have heard him storm out of the office and his staff nervously covering for him as the waits for patients grow. He has patients booked for well before he even shows up. He has a few practices he goes between and is always running late and overbooked. I would highly advise anyone considering becoming his patient to reconsider. It’s not worth it!

He should not be practicing.
Arrogant, ignorant of medical practices with no people skills.
Filthy offices which should be intolerable.

This doctor is the WORST doctor i have ever had . I thought he was okay at first but over time he has become increasingly arrogant ect. It is normal to wait at least an hour or 2 if not more to get into see him. Not that long ago i had sat there and waited over 2 hrs to see him and when i was FINALLY sitting in the room waiting for him i can hear him talking to the receptionist about how he had noticed that she lost weight and about his divorce court coming up and then left without even coming into see me . My next appointment not long after that one was no different ....... i had sat there waiting for about an hour and a half to see the doctor and then someone had come in with a WCB claim and all of a sudden , everyone that had made an appointment with him prior to that day didn't seem to matter anymore!! He took in the person with the WCB claim and everyone else got to sit and wait longer. I would definetely agree that he is ALL about the all mighty dollar and lacks any compassion what so ever.
In between those two appointments i had found out that after the first appointment that i mentioned here he had gone and faxed off 7 different prescriptions for me to pick up at shoppers. WTF !! I had NO idea what the hell these were for and i had NEVER been perscribed them prior. My reason for seeing the doctor at the time was to inquire about a note/letter that could possibly help me out with a Landlord /Tenant dispute and arbitration. There was mold issues in our home and it was affecting us physically. Why would you fax in 7 different prescriptions for a patient that wasn't coming in to ask for any medication refills and he did NOT even see me anyways because he left early. He has asked my partner if he wanted to pray with him at one appointment which i think is really inappropriate considering this was NOT the reason my partner made a doctors appointment and my parner is not a religous person either. He also told me that i needed to get rid of my tattoos because one of them says devil and he didn't like that. And then recently i had found out from an allergy specialist that i am diabetic which i did NOT know because Dr West failed to tell me the results from some tests that i had gotten done previously but he was sending the same paperwork he saw to the allergy specialist and the specialist told me that i was diabetic and now i have to figure out where i am at physically with this new information but not with this doctor. He is gonna end up killing someone if he hasn't already because of his negligence and greed. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR I would rate him a 0 if i could

Dr west is a list and should not practice as a doctor when I went to see him I waited 2. 5 hours one time when I needed to find out a test result he shrugged it off and told me that I was panicking over nothing so when Dr boshoff came into th practice he had me retested my condition the results were was uterine cancer stage 3 I could have died thanks to Dr west and I would have left my two son's with out a mother thanks to doctor Boshoff I'm alive today never see Dr west he is an arrogant person and extrmety rude I almost lost my life.Do not trust this man at all

I am type 1 diabetic as well as having a connective tissue disorder (combination of lupus and rheumatoid arthritis), he put me on steroids but didn’t send me to an optomologist or rheumatologist. Now I have glaucoma in one eye, and cataracts in both, at 30yrs old, because diabetics on steroids develop cataracts, and because for 2 years I had rheumatoid arthritis and he screwed around saying it was nothing.

I switched doctors, was sent to a rheumatologist and optomologist immediately, unfortunately, damage has been done.

This guy deserves a malpractice suit. Seriously.
