Excellent surgeon. Does not communicate very well at all with patients. Never, ever on time. You wait 2 hours to see him, only to not get your questions answered and he makes you feel stupid. He's very condescending.

When an MRI by my internist showed that I had a least a stage II cancer, Dr. Holloway saw me and scheduled my surgery within days. Surgery that was scheduled for 2 hours took over 5 hours and involved both Dr. Holloway and Dr. Childers. The cancer was very advanced but due to their skill it was all removed and I did not need a colostomy even though three sections of my bowel was removed. The chemo that followed was aggressive and difficult. I'm telling this because I'm sure that I was the reason someone else's appointment or surgery ran because I needed all of Dr. Holloway's attention. Dr. Holloway is quite busy and often running late but it's because of patients like me. Now when I get get bumped or made to wait for a checkup I know that it's because there's someone else a lot sicker than I am and Dr. Holloway's patients are often very sick as I was. When I go to see Dr. Holloway and he doesn't have a lot to say to me I consider it a good day.

He is the guy to get the job done! If you want a doctor that stays current and has the best surgical skills, dr. holloway is the person to go to. He also very personable, but very focused and has only one goal and that is to best treat the person with the given information at the time of the appointment. So don't be surprised if he changes his mind about what he wants to do on follow up appointments. I highly recommend him!

There is a reason his offie is full of patients with gynecologic problems including the most difficult cancers. He's the best. His office will take care of details. Yes he is busy, but not to busy to answer questions when asked. He doesn't have time to chit chat much, but he does when you take the earliest apointments! He's not a psychologist, but he cares. He's second to none when it counts -- choosing your chemotherapy, deciding about surgery, choosing clinical trials, or geting you through a life saving surgery. He's a doctor's doctor. Surgeons fly in from around the US to watch his cases.

Dr. Holloway does not remember everything he tells his patients, from one appt. to another. He is almost rude, has no time with patients. He did not explain anything after my operation, nothing! Dont know what to call that. I would not reccomend him, to a family or a friend, as a doctor. Never.

I wish I had seen this page when Dr. Holloway did my surgery. I stayed overnight (never actually admitted to a room) and that night the doctor said to my daughter, "Just wait 'til you see how your mother feels in the morning." Next morning, I was up and eating breakfast when she came to get me, and you would never know I had gone through surgery of any kind. Have very little scarring. His staff at the hospital was very attentive, constantly checking to see if I was okay or needed anything. I hope never to have to see him again, but he would definitely be my first choice if needed.

Dr. Holloway seems to be a great surgeon, but terrible with patient communication. He is not easy to talk to and makes you feel less than when you ask a question he does not necessarily want to answer. Follow up after surgery is near to impossible. In two years time only one of my appointments was kept for when it was made. This forced me to be up to three months late getting checked. His office was only able to do two follow ups, I got proactive and began getting checked at my gynecologists office. I felt the follow up was absolutely unacceptable. His nurse even had the audacity to say in our last communication "since your schedule does not seem to fit Dr. Holloways we will go ahead and release you early to be watched by your own gynecologist." My schedule not fitting, Ha! They called to reschedule each and every one not just once by two and three times making my cancer follow up in excess of three months at times.

I found Dr. Holloway to be very knowledgeable and caring. He always answered my question and I never felt rushed. My husband has even commented on his great bedside manner, as he explained everything to my husband after my surgery. The staff is AWESOME and I can't say enough about the staff in the Chemo lab. I finished my treatments almost two years ago and they still remember me by name, I think that says a lot about his staff. I would highly recommed Dr. Holloway.
