Found Dr. Walters very astute in diagnostics and treatment suggestions. He is not my best friend but His experience may help me survive a little longer.

I left after 30 years w/him because I could not get a refill for my prescription - not the first time. Granted, there were times when I wasn't timely in addressing my refill needs. However, this time I was timely. I had 10 days of medication left and was told he would not call it in because he was all booked up "next week" and on vacation the week after. I've been on this medication for over 20 years. Could he not have called in a 30-day supply to tie me over? The staff person said no. I had to come in. I actually decided right then and there that I no longer had a family doctor - after 30 years - and at a time when it is next to impossible to find a new doctor to take you on. I was beyond frustrated. It's taken me three months to come to a place where I can feel I can leave a fair review. I believe him to be introverted. He's hard to read and hard to connect with. He has been, for the most part, responsive to my needs - I consider myself fairly low maintenance except for this one medication that I'm on for life and I have to get refilled every three months. There have been times when I felt like every problem I had was blamed on my weight. Yes, I was obese. I've worked so hard to take care of that with help from a Medical Weight Management program separate from Dr. Walter. It's taken me six years. I moved - my choice - to another city and I'm a 45-minute to 1-hour drive away from Dr. Walter now. Not his fault. I still kept going to see him for five years after moving. However, this last time with my refill request was just the last straw. I am not an idiot. I do my best, as we all do. I called 10 days before running out. I'm a 30-year patient. That's a pretty thick file. I don't know if my frustration should be with Dr. Walter or with the staff. I appreciate his care over the last 30 years and it's a pretty sucky way to end the relationship.

Dr Walters gets a bad rap because he is all business and does not have great bedside manner. He has been my Dr. for over 20 years and I find him very knowledgable. If you are looking for sympathy Dr. Walters ins not your man but if you need a competant Dr who will see you when you need medical assistance and will provide good medical advice then make an appointment.

The fact I gave one star for each category is too much. He sees no value in humanity. Unfortunate to have him in medical system. Staff very irresponsible

I went to see Dr. Walter for a sprained ankle. It turned out I had torn all the ligaments from the knee down. He touched my leg and confirmed there was damage but did not send me an x-ray. So I went back months later and asked why I was still in pain. I asked if I should go to physio, and he said if you want and did nothing more than that. So, I just went to another doctor and requested an x-ray because my knee and ankle are extremely sore; this is over a year later, and I was told I had a broken leg!

I had him as my GP for many years and he always had a poor bedside manner. He also wasn't interested in hearing about my concern. If you happen to want to bring up a second thing, he would tell you to make another appointment. Eventually, I decided to try and get a better doctor.

I took my daughter to see him for a knee injury during full-on Covid. She also had warts on the same knee. He told her he only does one item per visit and made us come back the next day for warts, which he doesn't treat anyway. Extremely rude and unprofessional, making people come back to get money; but, also placing patients at risk by double visiting during the height of Covid. Worst doctor ever!!!
